yes, both shafts are straight, overall condition is 95%
very good... Very small and hardly noticeable ding...
Shafts are quite new...

as i am away for business work, the cue is in my hometown..
i can try and take a better picture next wednesday.. and
as far as i can recall, there isn't any signature of andy..
this is an older type cue, i know the new type will have andy
signature on it... let me check again when i am back.. not sure..

also if possible, can you help by sending picture to andy to verify?
i am not sure how to contact andy gilbert at all..
it will help dispel your fear... thank you so much..

If anyone is questioning whether this is one of Andy's cues, there's no need. We sold this cue when it was new....think it was made around '03. IIRC, Andy's sig on this cue was done right over the colored veneers....it's very small, and difficult to see unless you are really looking for it. Fairly certain about the sig. Also, the wood in the points and butt is also figured bloodwood, not rosewood. This one is a very nice hitting cue with the 'unusual' 5/16-14 piloted joint setup. Most of the stuff Andy builds nowadays for customers is 3/8-10. These shafts are little heavier than usual because they have the brass inserts.

Steve, take a look for that sig when you get a chance. If it's not there....then there's a chance the cue was refinished....the wrap looks to be the same color that was on it when new, though.

Hope this helps guys.
Sean

[If anyone would like to speak with Andy about the cue, his number in the shop is 417-743-2759 (regular business hrs central time) or email at gilbertcues@msn(dot)com, but he doesn't check emails all that often....so it's best to call at least first.]

Steve sent PM reply to your counter offer I would like the cue if its straight butt and shafts pending andys validation I emailed him earlier hope to hear soon sure your right just be nice to get validation from him.

i am quite sure this cue used to belong to my friend, i bought it off an azer for him, and sold it locally, if it is, it does have a small signature which should still be there.

Just wanted you all to know that I finally received the cue. It was stuck in customs for 4 days, which drove me nuts. It is signed Gilbert '05 in one of the points (I think it's 05, my eyes aren't that good)

Steve was awesome to deal with. The cue was shipped as promised, well packaged, and stayed in touch with the Singapore post when I was whinning to him that it's not here yet. He was always willing to help and respond. I would not hesitate to do somethign with him again.

Thanks Steve!

Dave
