I, now build a pete's from $189.00 up to $350.00, for the fancier ones. They may not be cheap, but they play well and look good. I will have a new batch finished in about 2 month's. Got quite a few [ about 40] of the 350's coming out in 2 weeks. All but two are sold. The others are being turn cut at this time.They are coca-bolo, butts and maple fronts with a nice shaft.

Blud sneaky pete
I bought a blud sneaky pete early this year off ebay for $205.00. I just can't put it down. When I first started using it, long shots seemed to be going in easier . It feels so comfortable I can't go back to using my other cues.
I already had a viking VM13 with a predator shaft, another viking VM 26, a fancy Widowmaker from Bert Kinister that I paid $1300.00 for and another sneaky Pete by Blackheart (which also feels pretty good). Once in a while , during practice, I'll pick up one of the other cues just for the heck of it, but the Blud SP always calls me back.
Just my 2 cents.

You can buy a cheap imprort cue or you can buy a Blud S/P cue.

Save your nickels and dimes an buy something that has a cuemaker standing behind it.
You will be glad you did in the long run.
I have a Wes Hunter S/P and love it. They run about $300, and have a great hit. I played with one of Blud's pete's about 10 or 11 years ago and wanted to buy it from the guy, he wouldn't sell. Blud's pete's may be the best there is.
If you want the cheapest s/p just buy a house cue or one of them budweiser cues off eBay.

Blud's sneakys I can only assume are better. even though I've never handled one, because Blud is a well respected cuemaker and his craftmenship is going to add something to the mix. However if you're talking about pure "bang for your buck" think about the Dufferin Phantom. As far as custom sps go, besides Blud don't forget Bob Frey.

The Dufferin gets my vote also, as it is a very inexpensive cue. If you can pick one from a selection you can end up with a very nice cue at a very low cost (I paid $65 Canadian at a local store, list was $75 Canadian). My only complaint is that the shaft is finished right to the ferrule. Stiff as all get-out too.

Try the Cuetec Model 99535. It is a two-piece cue with their new fiberglass over the shaft. It stays smooth and is almost impossible to nick or ding.
I bought one for about 65 Bucks. I play mostly on diamond barbox tables. You don't need much else.
For the Ultra cheap, a one-piece Cutec (about 30 bucks I think) and break the bond between the shaft and butt. You now have a two-piece cue.
And before everyone jumps down my throat, I know they are inexpensive cues (junk), but they are also disposable.
