I don't know the full story about these cues, but from what I have seen in the past the cue is way over priced based on the price of other fancier cues made by Libra that are currently for sale.

But it certainly is a beautiful cue, and like all Libra Cues it's also one of a kind.

I actually saw this cue yesterday. The guy came buy asking if we would know what it might be worth.

It's an interesting cue, but I don't think it's one their best. I like the one here better. (second one down)

I thought his story about Jake the "Wizard" was a little odd. After he left, I called Jack Potter and described the cue to him. He remembered it and told me a little about it. There used to be a local art mall here in north Dallas that had a scrimshaw artist there. They would build a few cues and take them over and have the guy put some scrimshaw in them to dress them up. The scrimshaw guy's name was Jake. This cue has the name Jake in the scrim, but it's not from Jake Shaffer, it's scrimshaw by Jake from a small art mall in Dallas that's now gone.

I don't know, maybe that's all worth $38,000 to someone, just not me. Just to be clear, we didn't tell him it was worth that. We didn't recommend a price at all.

Interesting stuff. I don't see 38K in the cue, I wouldn't do 3.8K. I just like the looks and style and wanted to find out about Libra cues. I have seen one or two and had never heard of them.
 
I know a guy that had some unfinished Libra cues I guess cause they never got to finish them when they just stopped the finishing process or the compant fell thru whatever ,,but the guy I know had a few that looked good , maybe no scrimshaw, but never a thought of close to $38,000 either. And this guy makes some nice hitting cues with whatever he does to them to make them play the way he does. $38,000 and cant even drive it or live out of it, My bet is no ones gonna touch this cue for that amount,,,<< ED
 
I have heard of them i was told that its a well made cue ... funny thing i didn't see a price ...
