I am in the process of deciding on a cue maker to make my first Custom Sneaky. My funds are limited therefore I am spending only around $300 so of course that limits my Cue maker choices as well. I really want one built to my specs and not wanting to buy one that was made for someone else. This will give me the feeling of.....this cue was made for me! So here's what I would like some recommendations on.
1. I really like the look of the butt and sleeve being ALL BEM with a few joint and butt rings of another wood. Is this a smart choice as far as feel and a good solid hit or would other wood choices be a better choice such as Cocobola into BEM?
2. I want a wood to wood joint so what's the best joint choice? Isn't a joint that I could use different shafts with later on the best choice?
I am more concerned with good, solid playability than looks but really would like a cue built with those few specific specs.
Again, I know my budget is slim but tell me what u think as far as my choices and any other configuration u would recommend.
Thanks for reading and all feedback appreciated.....:help:
