As most of you know, Chris had a pretty major set back when he had some epoxy splash into his eyes a while back. Since his recovery he has been working non stop trying to complete some of the cues he was working on for the SBE. I stopped by his shop to see some of them recently and was able to get a few pictures of them almost completed. Sorry that the pics aren't the greatest but they are from my phone. These pictures do these cues no justice at all so it is more of a tease then a preview.

Tuesday Night

Will,

I remember being at CB's shop last night around 2 AM, and I remember we were both boozin at Table Steaks,
but I don't remember you hanging off of a tree upside down when you took those pics.

I hope Chris got off to Valley Forge OK, but right now I have a headache.

Peace

Ted

As drunk as I was, being the "Quality Control Supervisor" I was still able to halt production / spraying of your new "eyepoxy" CB player.
The next production run will be sometime after Valley Forge, and after my cues are sprayed.
You missed the window of opportunity,

Really sorry,

QC Department

It's all fun and games until someones Jensen magically becomes a Jump/Break.

Glad to see Chris back doing what he loves to do. LOVE that flame butterfly!!

'Eyepoxy' :D

Good to see Chris is OK. He is a very nice person. I E-Mailed him last October about re wrapping my cue and he gave me a price and i put it off until late December and called him on a Friday and he did the job the next morning. One thing about having it done while you watch is he pressed it to just the way i liked it something you may not get if you send it off.
But that is an advantage to living in an area with several custom cue makers.

Production schedule has now been expedited.
I finished your cue for Chris in his absence using Thompson's Water Seal, and signed it "QC approved by inspector no. 2" with my initials.
Unfortunately I forgot what color wrap you wanted so I used that sparkle stuff you like.

Any complaints must be submitted in writing and warranty repairs must returned to our service center with proper return authorization paperwork.

hey pictures. who is that ogar working on my cues in my shop? I am much skinnier in my own mind. LOL Well I worked myself silly getting ready for the show. I did not get to bring all the cues I had hoped for but thanks to Steve "Tikkler" and Megan Smith I had a nearly full rack of cues to display. And thanks to Steve Lomax the 2 wraps that I did not have time to finish are looking fine! It has been a great show so far, and the amount of visitors and well wishers has been overwhelming! I have recieved several pairs of safety glasses as gifts from some of the guys so far. No eye patches yet. LOL I am sure there will be some tomorow.
I just left Eric Crisp and red rocket playing 1 pocket. Match details to be covered by OMGWTF. When I left the score was something like screw you to you suck or something like that. WEll it is nearly 5 am and I am going to bed. Again a BIG thanks to Steve, Lomax, and Megan!

I can't believe I didn't think to take some eye patches to the shop.

I met Chris Byrne today at the SBE. Super nice guy to talk with. And I got to hit a few balls with one of his cues. Holly $hit batman they played real good. I had to get my wife away from Chris`s cues or she was threaten me she`d get the plastic out & buy 1 or 2 of them. lol Chris makes a fine looking & playing cue & his prices were very reasonable to boot. Thanks Chris for taking the time to talk with the wife & I at the show. Hope you have a safe trip home. Hopefully the ''Quality Control'' guy back home didn`t do any work in your shop while you were gone.
Jeff

Chris,

Just got back from the Expo and I must say your cues look waaay better in person than the pictures show.

Absolutely beautiful !!!

It was really a pleasure to meet and talk to you.

Thanks a lot for sharing your time, I know how busy you were :)

Chris, Michael (the nurse) here. Glad you are back in action. I've been keeping up with your status/condition. Kansas City sucks, but the pool room at Shooter's and Dan Tull are awesome. I'll treat to Waffle House next time I'm in town. Take care and wear protection, Chris Jimmy-Hat Byrnes
