chuck starkey 6 pieces of bocote

this cue only has a sealer as it still has a way to go to be finished. the splices are dead center, but look off in the photos, as i am a better builder than photographer.

this butt is made of 6 different pieces of bocote, all from the same piece of wood. cut at different angles and reglued then doweled.

with the grain and across the grain makes for a nice contrasting look.

i think

those bocote shaft work great for break cues, but not so much as a playing cue. i am building one more bocote shaft it is a 4 piece laminated shaft and i might try to make it a ld shaft?

Very cool. I love cues like that where you need to figure out how it was done. This is not a cookie cutter cue.

it finished easy

install a pin, rings, and a couple coats of clear, looks great, finished photos are in the for sale section.
