i was ask by a customer how i was able to get the spider in this cue, the only answer i could come up with was ' dumb luck ' as you can see its just a knot in the bocote, but this is an exceptional piece of wood and looks great with the elk handle and black rings. old growth curly shaft with no ferrule.
cue is 19 3/4 oz and 57 inches long, stiff hit, shaft has a constant taper with a 12 3/4 mm moori tip. the elk has been sleeved over the bocote, so the cue is one solid piece from the joint to the butt. if you buy the cue and insist i will add a ferrule, but please try the no ferrule first, as i have never had one returned. pin is wood.

Spiders

Sweet cue Chuck. Spiders give me the creeps though, can you find some bocote with a unicorn for next time, jk.

wrong legs

looks like we got weird spiders, the one on my cue has 5 legs each side and yours, only 3. like maybe something post-apocalyptic

unfortunately, after turning, most of mr. spider disappeared :(

i should have made the cue 1.375 at the butt :grin:
 
funny!

I once had a cue that looked like there was a picture of a fish in the wood.I had to sell it because I thought the cue was trying to tell me something!:wink:

Arachnid Cue?

Oh no! I guess I'd better sell something quickly. LOL My wife just saw this cue. The name of her APA League team is Aracknophobia. Great cue!

Anybody want to buy some wrapless cues?

Chuck, I really meant to say this first.. That is REALLY a beautiful cue you made.. great job! Sorry if anyone might have thought I jacked your thread. That was not my intention. I just wanted to show the beauty of bocote wood. -Bryan
 
not hijacked, just enhanced

thought never entered my mind, i think the bocote cue looks great, i love finding things [ pictures ] in the grain of beautiful woods.
BTW the spider cue has sold.
