yo man sweet looking cue. i've been wanting to try a cue with a wooden joint like that for a while. i just bought a schon though or i'd take if off your hands.

What taper does this shaft have? Do you consider it to hit stiff, med stiff, whippy?? Looks really nice. How is thefinish? what would an additional shaft cost? Deacon

Just got one

They hit GOOD. I have had one about a week. Not fancy like this one because I needed 19.2-19.5 in weight so Chuck built me one like his old mercedes, no fancy gizmo's, just cue. I think its ironwood and curley so he could get it heavy enough. Wood pin. I get a workout tightening the shaft. Did I say it hits GOOD? I meant REAL GOOD. NOT whippy, not like a board either. Wood pin leaves some things out that I think I must be used to from metal pins because the hit, only way I can describe it, is quiet. I'll post pics later in the week or next week but its nowhere near the "pretty" this one is.

All,
I just bought one of Chuck's cues about 2 or 3 weeks ago. For everyone who hasn't hit one of his cues, no explination will do it justice. The way the wood pin hits is just SICK!! Not only that but upon my stick ariving I didn't like the way the ferruel looked or hit so I sent it back and within two days had the cue back and fixed to my liking free of charge. I wouldn't trade my Starkey for a Southwest or a Scruggs!! Just my two cents who ever picks this cue up will definitely be satisfied
