Hello Mark, I have one for sale it is a plain Jane cue in great original condition, I doubt you will find one in better condition, I will take $150 for it shipped.

Hi Cisero played with a Balabushka. I had the pleasure of playing with Cisero and his buddy Corn Bread in Brooklyn in the 1960's. I also had a Balabushka that I sold for $55. in 1975,because I was getting a new one in a few weeks and sadly he passed away...Larry Gendler

I wish I knew the future,I paid $65.00 for the cue and sold it for $55.00 2 years later. I thought I made a good deal. I also sold the fanciest Coster cue for $2500.00 and thought I made a good deal. It's worth about $25,000.00 now. I also sold Ron Haley cue for $700.00 and I dont want to know what it it is worth today.I always thought you buy high and sell low and make it up in volume. Larry

Cisero Murphy

I have a cue with Cisero Murphy on the side of it. It has 4 wood inlay and needs a new wrap. My dad purchased in the mid 70's. He thinks he paid almost $130 for it back then, but can't quite remember. I was thinking of sending it back to Adams to get it fully restored, but I might be willing to sell it. The problem is that I can't find another one anywhere on the net to compare it to so I am not sure how much it is worth.

I remember him from B'klyn

I knew him back in Brooklyn and he took some of my cash when I was in college at St. John's which was near Atlantic Ave in downtown Brooklyn not too far from Atlantic Billiards where he would shoot pool. Other spots were Ebbetts Billiards in Flatbush and of course, Ames Billiards on W. 44th Street in Manhattan. Yeah, I left a little money everywhere I seemed to bump into him. I recall him once commenting after beating me in a race to 5 for $5, "I got lucky." , referring to himself. Before I could even respond, one of the observers nearby commented. "Yeah....but I notice the more you seem to practice, the luckier you seem to get." That guy hit the nail on the head...there wasn't a whole lot of luck to his game cuz the man could flat out make balls whenever he needed to (or wanted to)....always dressed to the 9's too....I don't ever recall seeeing him play for cash and just whup the other guy's ass bad........seems like he always left them with a sense of hope...at least until they realized their wallet was empty. He was a money player and smooth...never rushed his game,,,he wasn;t known for being fast just dangerous....Seeing the cue brought back a ton of memories especially Ames.

What about that regrip move at the top of his stroke????

Wow, I believe it was referred to as the Cobra Stroke.

I've heard that Cobra's have a move where they just hypnotize their prey, and Cisero for sure hypnotized more than a few with that stroke move of his.

Guys just watching that move of his and forgetting how bad that character was pounding on them.

I saw him play lots of straight pool and that man could flat out play.

He had a beautiful slip stroke.

The Cisero Murphy cue pictured above has the signature underlined with a cue stick. This is the same way I have found the signature on the cues to appear whenever I try to research them. I have a cue where the signature is clearly Cicero Murphy not Cisero Murphy and it is not underlined at all, it has the Adam Cue lion stamp on the butt and otherwise looks exaclty like this one pictured. I will take a pic and upload later tonight. Does anyone have any info on this cue as it is approx 30 years old?

Thanks everyone
