CJ Wiley's New DVD Announced and One TIme Offer

Sweden

Hi CJ,

thx for the reply.
Great, then I want them both but since it´s going to Sweden (as I think you already now since we spoke on FB) I like it to be shipped in one shipment of course, would like a poster to put up in my poolroom but that´s no idea since it will just increase the shipping cost. And even if I like you it has been a while since I put up posters on the wall:smile:, give it to a young kid of your choice instead so they have something that can help them grow:).

Just give me (here or pm) the total for both DVD´s included with shipping to Sweden and I will pay you asap.

Take care

Chrippa

Just order two seperately at www.cjwiley.com and I'll pay any additional shipping and send it in one package asap ...Just PM or FB me if there's anything else...thanks Chrippa, CJ

I want you to shoot as straight as an arrow soon my friend.

CJ! is the DVD discussed in this thread the same that I got from you? or it's completely different one?

I'm "Releasing" the New One in a few days. It's getting the finishing touches done and will be ready soon. Thanks MM  I want you to shoot as straight as an arrow soon my friend.

Forget the arrow, look at all those great swords! Are they all real blades, or are some practice blades? I used to have several swords, including a signed katana, but I stopped practicing years ago and sold them when I got broke one time. Great swords are like great cues. They should never be sold. Sadly, I have only one sword left - a practice Chinese gim sword. I kept that one because it was a gift from Master Jiang Jianye, a Chinese Wushu master I studied with about 25 years ago.

Speaking of which, take a look at this guy's Kung Fu form with the gim sword. Particularly, take a look at his straight thrusts. At 3:30 he begins a thrust through a HD composite tube of some sort. Notice the angle of the blade throughout the thrust, and how his wrist generates a slight downward motion at the end. Helps get (extend) straight through the tube without bending that extremely flexible blade. Looks kinda familiar to me.

Here's another video, this time of Master Jiang himself doing the slow Chen-style form. At 3:40 he makes a downward thrust using the same adduction of the wrist. Funny how well he speaks English now. When I first met him he had just come from China and all he could say in English was "Ya, ya!" and "No, No, No!" Without words to describe things, you really had to steal his forms through observation alone. I have come to believe that may be the best way to learn a lot of things, pool included.

Hammers, swords, sticks, cues. When you need an extra burst of power, the wrists can definitely supply it IMHO. I see that some have made comments about how your stroke resembles a sword thrust, as if that is a bad thing. Seems it may be the best way to "get through the ball". It also seems to have served you well over the years.

BTW CJ, somehow I pictured a Zen man like yourself shooting with a Japanese long bow instead of a modern compound. What's with that?

Just ordered my DVD. Sad to say but I have been playing for 20 years and never watched an instructional DVD so I am excited to embark on a new experience. For what it is worth, the only reason I bought it is because there appears some substance behind your recent efforts to contribute to this game we all love......and oddly enough they seemed based in passion and not dollars....so I figured I would give you a few dollars, lol.

I'm not sure about the "bark", but it does give your pool game some "bite"

Yes, they are all quite real and some are very sharp, other's are used to train with, and some are just collectors items I picked up in various travels.

The Filipino Fighting Sticks are even better than the swords to understand the potential power generated by the wrist. I know some "smaller" people that are extremely deadly with the Fighting Sticks. The Filipinos are some of the best in the world and all their pool players know this to be true.

I do have a regular long bow, but I have to admit this compound has become a favorite over the years for target practice. Coming down on the cue ball while drawing the cue back and coming down with an arrow while drawing back is a way I train when I'm getting ready for a big gambling match. I also use a "variation" of Bagua (Shaolin Moving Meditation) around the pool table while using a cue ball as the focus point. Some day I'll show those interested that technique.

I do show the "Shot Put Drill" that I use for hand strengthening. Do this for 3 weeks and you could "rip bark off trees". I'm not sure about the "bark", but it does give your pool game some "bite".

You will enjoy these DVD's. There's many things that are very unique about my approach to teaching pocket billiards. No fluff, just techniques that are proven effective. We all learn and play in different ways, and most seek the similiar outcomes in confidence, consistency and creativity. 'The Game is the Teacher'
