Classic Cue Designs

I know of another cue, currently in the works, that is using peacocks in such a way that while it is gonna be soooo utterly original, it is also gonna be very classical in design. It's gonna likely make you smack yourself on the forehead and go....jeez, why didn't I think of that!!!

I can't wait to see it, it sounds cool!!  :D :D

Classic design theft or not

You are a moron, to what extent it's hard to tell from this post, but a moron for sure. You said "original idea" many times in your post, yet the thread title is about *DESIGNS*, again being a moron I'm not sure if you even know the difference.

Jim

Show me the "original" Propeller cue design then show one cue made by a talented cue maker that is exactly the same {item per item}.

The proof is still to come.

Classical and Old-Fashioned

I guess I am a little old fashioned. I really like the classical cue designs of ivory dots, dashes, spears, peacocks, bushka rings and the-like.

Hal

Nobody would waste time showing you anything, you seem to want to argue but can't find anyone to bite, sorry I'm not your guy.
Please go back and read my post that responded to yours, you brought up all types of things that had no relation to the post and then when called on it you want to change direction and you expect people to jump threw hoops for you. There is plenty on this topic here, go research it and come back when you get what the rest of us have already talked about.

Classic Cue Designs and Design Theft

No problems Jimbo.

I am not trying to pick a fight or call names. I am calm on the issue.

Just trying to understand what is considered design theft. It is easy to understand if an entire cue is copied item by item it is design theft. I want to understand if a lesser level of copying only parts of a cue is considered design theft.

I will take your sage advice and look backward in the forum.:)

I have to know once and for all, is that a finish ding above the right triangle of the split diamond?

I believe its just a spec of lint from a towel.

looks to me its a glare.. if you look under that right traingle of the split diamond it continues down... it just disapears over the ivory...

I think you're right! That being said, how about you replace that picture with the following? It'd help me sleep better at night, that's for sure!

The essence of a cue

Your pics display the essence of a pool cue, to me this is the ulimate style and class in cues with the diamonds, windows, dots etc. all of the designs are perfect.
Thank God for the Szamboti family.

That's my favorite GB...

It's a Balabushka. Everytime I see the cue addicts and Scott, I always have to check this cue out...I have never seen another butt sleeve like it. I love those curved windows...

I wanted to have a cue built for me that has barbell designs in it and decided on John Showman. I just sent my sketches to John this week to have him build me one that includes dots and notched diamonds, reverse barbells and maple windows with barbells. It will have a "szamboti" look to it for sure.
