I just acquired this Mottey in a trade. I know there are a lot of them around, but it is the first one I have owned and I wanted to post some pics. Four Ebony points into curly maple, four veneers, ivory joint and lizard wrap. This is a simple but very classy cue.

Enjoy-

Beautiful cue. Very classy and timeless design.

If it plays anywhere NEAR as good as it looks, the wait for your new Rick Howard cue is going to seem very short!

Dakota-

It plays very well, I hit with it numerous times and always wanted it. But, the wait for my Howard will not be short, I am dreaming about that cue!

forget the Mottey! i like the board/recording rig in your avatar. i think i see a tc helicon?, trinity or triton rack, tascam da-30., Adat, pod, ect... now we're talkin!:)

Wow, you recognize all that gear! Been doing composition, production and mastering for years, love that stuff! Pod Pro (for guitar) Lexicon MXP-1, TR-Rack, Proteus 2000, Wavestation AD, etc. Was into this long before cues. Some of this gear is older than my niece and nephew-

i've been a studio percussionist for 20 years and have i've been gign' forever. i have my own pc based MOTU hard disk mastering/digital studio along with 24 tracks of Adat as the backup for backwards flexibility. you remind me of my board player. he has a triton and a trinity (along with another rack trinity), helicon, rane mixer and eq, dbx compression ect.... i've been around the "deal" scene many times but nothing has come to fruition. PM me your address and i'll send you a copy of a cd (adult contemperary) that almost got us signed by Sony. John Kolodner was the head of new signings at the time and a friend of our producer, Jim Peterik (Ides of March and Survivor fame). he said we were a little late on the sceen and the company didn't want to put the money into trying to "revive" that sound, oh well. music and cues will always be two of the vices in my life and i'll always enjoy them both. keep jamin' and cuein'!

OK Skins...enough talk about all that sound gear, let's get to the percussion stuff...what kind kit do you play? Cymbals? Snare(s)?
