Classless

yeah, filler didn't really celebrate that much. he won his first Mosconi Cup match. he's allowed to get a little excited.

and it was like 5 secs. even if he went right over, Hatch was already on his way out.

he needs to not take that typical amateur 2 rail outside english scratch off the 6 ball. pro's shouldn't scratch there.

or hang 7 balls to tie up the first match (SVB)

typical MC, USA, undisciplined, not playing well with no rolls. Europe, playing good and getting all the rolls. that's tough to beat.

It was special when Filler successfully lept into his partner’s arms after missing on his first attempt, lol.

The Euros are once again kickin ass and takin numbers because, in this format, their worst is better than our worst and they have 2 or 3 that are as good, or better, than our best.

we'll getem next year

I really love our guys but, the nerves are getting them again. Let's face it.
They:
Can't lag.
Can't break.
Can't stay in line. Therefore
They can't run out.

Just my take.

Hope they can turn it around. I'll be watching and waiting for the lightning strike.

It has nothing to do with being a professional...It has to do with the character of a person...You don't have to shake hands because your a professional, but because you have character and show it...
I play in a BCA league..I am not a professional..There are several jerks in the league, but I always shake their hand. How does not shaking their hand prove anything?

In MMA the winning fighter or losing fighter always hug and show respect...Thats character.....Seems to be lacking with Dennis...

And wasn't Hatch a Golden Gloves boxing champion? A youth state wrestling champion?

Maybe he's a Pats fan and idolizises the biggest sore loser of all time, Belichick.

Bullshit move by Hatch, period. There's absolutely no good reason not to shake an opponents hand. Poor sport and taints the already bad image of pool players. If I were Captain he wouldn't see the table for the remainder of the MC.

Taints lolololol😆

Ermm...whereas I can understand player emotions on both sides and I wont go into criticizing any of them for a missed handshake or overly celebrating. However, can I ask what is going on with both Jerry and Jay ? In a way I get it. They root for their fellow countrymen but boy this time around they feel more biased than ever.

Pool is a tough nut

With a very few exceptions U. S. players can't make a decent living
playing pool. All their lives they had to gamble, scuffle and do whatever
they had to, to just get by. Losing meant a lot more to them than almost
everyone on here. It wasn't damn, I blew some of the money I was
going to blow on my cruise. It was rent and other necessity money.
They play to survive, they have done it since they started playing.
It's one of the reasons they are better than us. Try spending all your
playing life knowing that losing means not being able to pay the
rent, fix the car, etc. I never heard a stake horse say " I'll never
stake him again, he didn't shake that guys hand after he blew my
money". They do pretty good in tournaments here, but in the M.C.
with all that silly crap the EURO's do. it doesn't bother me if they don't
shake hands. Have you ever seen anyone that has just lost their
money rush over to shake the guys hand that just busted them. NO
Not some challenge match with 20 stake horse's but the players
own money. NO and that's how most of our players have had to make
it all their adult lives. I'll take our classless guys over those goofy
ass EURO's all day.

LOL. I thought it was special, not that there was anything wrong with that ;) I mean, give me a break with the over reactions, I've seen 7 years react with a little more dignity on their first trip to Disneyland :)

i still say pool needs more of these guys, not less, been saying so since Earl's prime

this is still part "entertainment" to me, and some of these antics are nothing compared to what you see in other pro sports

I agree.

Et moi aussi

from PRED on NPR
Hi, my name is Tyreek Hill and I'm the top performer of the week in the NFL. - Yesterday, 05:33 PM
Hat tip The Donald

In 2014, I strangled and beat my pregnant girlfriend. Despite this, the NFL still allows me to play and I frequently get featured by them.

To me it’s like leaving your standard tip when you actually got crappy service at a restaurant.

A handshake means something... or should.

Lou Figueroa

Maybe it's like that, but leaving NO tip can be interpreted by the server as cheapness or forgetfulness. If you get crappy service, you still leave a tip, but make it small to send the right message. To complete the analogy, what I would do is shake his hand while whispering in his ear what I thought of his antics. I don't look like a sore loser and he gets the message.
