Hi all, do any of you know the best way to clean table cloth? Some of the bars here have drink stains on their tables. They have Tour Edition 3030 cloth, any ideas will be appreciated.
Thank you

Vacuum the dust and chalk. Clean water with a lint free rag for spills. I'm not sure you will be able to get any stains out but in my experience the cloth is still playable after cleaning with water. Don't drown the table

I see that a suggestion in a previous thread is Woolite and hot water. I'd try to get the cleaning solution up as quickly as possible, maybe with lots of paper towels. Microfiber towels for some rubbing. It is unlikely to get back to new, but it should be better.

I've heard of people who had success putting the cloth in the clothes washer, but shrinkage might be a problem.

Putting the cloth through a washing machine will raise nap all over. But it will be clean

Works great with the cleaning solution provided. Cleaned two cat puke spots off my Simonis and the entire table in about 20 minutes and leaves the cloth almost dry. Couldn't be happier.

Don't think it is possible to remove water marks from wool.

Those stains are only kept off before they appear, sorry to inform

Drunk bangers are the bane of keeping public equipment clean. I mean even your average clueless person should be able to use some basic reasoning and know that an open container of liquid is not wise to have sitting on the edge of a pool table.

I always thought an upholstery cleaner would work well for cleaning cloth. I used to work for a carpet cleaning business, one thing you should consider: any solution left in the cloth will attract firt

I always thought an upholstery cleaner would work good cloth. I worked for carpet cleaning buisness in my youth, a couple of precautions you might take: any solution left in the cloth will attract dirt (soap is sticky, have you seen carpet stains reappear shortly after being cleaned) I would rinse it with just water afterward.

If you have waxed seams don't use very hot water. And keep away from any wood like featherstrips.

The cloth will be bit stiff after drying but will soften up with use.

I use a fan designed for drying surfaces as soon as I am finished cleaning. There is no water heater so "warm" is much more descriptive than "hot". You control the amount of water/solution you use with a trigger button. I only used enough moisture to get the job done. The suction is constant and you can clearly see the liquid being drawn back into the cleaning head. When the liquid is no longer streaming into the cleaning head the cloth is nearly dry. I have only used the milder cleaning solution and least aggressive cleaning head. it has been a couple months since I cleaned it and simple brushing has kept it clean since.

I had two large stained areas were my cat herked. I suspect a similar mess to a spilled drink, etc. The Bissell cleaned it completely in one attempt with no stain remaining and no noticeable wear to the fabric. The waste water after cleaning was dirty but had no fibers. Seemed effective but gentle with soft rubber scrubber fingers and a brush.

I played on it an hour after cleaning and fan drying with no stiffness noted.

Sounds as good as I'd hoped it would work, kind of thought it would be a little stiff, even after wiping with a damp cloth I can feel a little stiffness, it's possible the solution has a softner in it.
I appreciate you posting that, I've been curious for a long time. If I ran one of those companies like Bissell, I'd market it to the billiards community.

Yea, COLD water and gentile cycle or you'll only have a cloth sized for a Mouse's table, chucklein'

hank
I guess you mean that the cloth is going to shrink if one uses hot water on it. Well, I did not experiment with that myself, but from @realkingcobra 's posts I learnt that cloth does not shrink under such conditions. Maybe I interpreted that info wrong, but that's how I recall it.

I have never had stains on my cloth. I do, however, get chalk, lint, and sometimes cat hair. I have a handheld vacuum I occasionally use, but the best by far for chalk, lint, cat hair, etc. in my opinion is a "Scotch-Brite Pet Extra Sticky Large Surface Roller".
