Hi, My name is Dennis and I am a pool addict and been one since the late 50s. This is the first thread that I have started and know that the AZ members can help me out with this problem. I am trying to, not restore but trying to get a 1900 A.E. Schmidt Pro 8 table in decent condition. I have done alot of work on the whole table, wood pocket shelves, new barrel nut, rails and much more. A member on this forum gave me a used 9' Simonis cloth that was on a table in a pool room for about 3 weeks, has a few friction burn marks, but the cloth is in great condition. The problem I have is there's a line across the head spot and the foot spot. I think it is pencil but it could also be a ink pen. The web says to have it dry cleaned, that's the best way to get the marks out, if they will come out. Has anyone had simonis 860 cloth dry cleaned and how did it come out? Thanks inadvace for any help that is provided. Thanks D.S. Hope I put this in the right place.

cleaning cloth:

I did contact Simonis and they did not responed back to me. Awhile back I had some Granito cloth and I was able to contact a Rep from the company and he said he saw no problem in have that cloth dry cleaned but don't know about the Simonis but it does have the same amounts of worsted wool and nylon which is 90% wool and 10% nylon. I'll call simonis Monday and see what they say. Thanks

not sure what they are going to say, but they make a drycleaning product specifically for pool tables and its safe on it, so I don't see why you couldn't have it dry cleaned. Contact them anyway tho, rather be safe than sorry

I'd suggest you pm realkingcobra and ask for a phone number for Simonis. Felicia will be able to help... I think.
