Cleaning up the pool world

A few threads back there are discussions of ball cleaners and polishers. Some of us have made one. When talking about these polishers with friends, I discussed the possibility of taking the machine to the taverns where we play and cleaning up the tables we play on.

My friend talked with his friend who owns a well known biker bar with three valley tables. The owner would like me to come in and clean his table and balls for $10.00 a table. He has three tables. I think that $5.00 a table is a fair price.

With a little Super Aramith Ball Cleaner, Chalk off, and my machine I could make $15.00 - $30.00 bucks. I can even see where someone could make a weekly route.

I am sure that some folks who post here do not have a great deal of money so here is a way to clean up the pool world and make a few bucks.

BTW as indicated in the prior posts these are inexpensive machines and there is another avenue for making a few bucks. These machines can be made and sold to bar owners for about $100.00.

Just another way to support your habit and clean up the world of pool playing

I've been to a few taverns, in particular, whose tables were extremely dirty. Even the brush that existed to wipe the tables down was dusty and didn't do much good.

There's nothing worse than having those black and blue hands after playing a couple games of pool on filthy tables. What a novel and innovative idea! :)

Yeah, I could go for doing something like that around here...you have some screwy equipment in the bars around here...

I think that's a great idea. I wouldn't mind starting that at our local PH but they already do it! Hmmm, maybe I need to hide their ball cleaner!!
 
I think anyone who has the time and would make the effort could definitly setup a route.

Clean the tables and balls.

Do reasonably priced cue repair for the house cues on an exchange basis. Have a variety of one piece cues ready to go in the car exchange out the bad ones.

I hate being out of town with no cue and want to hit some balls and find tables for a buck a games, super cheap low quality tiny grainy cubes of chalk, grimy balls and cloth and then have to use a cue with a push on tip.

I stay about one rack.

I think better equipment keeps the players at the table even non-players who just want to socialize.

Good clean qulaity equipment feels and plays better so people want to play more.
