I saw one this weekend at Jon Spitz. Don't know how it works, but it looked well made!

It looks like a nice unit, so I contacted him about accuracy, Unidirectional repeatability, Bidirectional repeatability and backlash. No reply.

This thing really looks freakin nice! I bought my controller and motors from this guy. Right now I'm using (2) 5C mechanical indexes but it may be time to upgrade....

I have been using this one for about 12 years with zero problems. It can be used as a stand alone and can be set from 1 to 999 increments. It can also be slaved to your CNC program. It is very accurate.

They also sell just the indexer or just the indexer with a stepper attached.

trade off with everything...for accuracy and repeatibility the belt driven one attached is what i would choose over any cheap worm driven rotary. The problem occurs where holding torque is concerned. Your not going to spin a real rotary with your hand, the belt drive will and if you like to work on the cue while its fixtured then it could be a problem.
