Looking to drop some money on a CNC mill/lathe. Would like some feedback on what works well for you...I'm on about a 10k budget. Leaning towards a K2 but some opinions would be nice. Thanks! You can PM me also.

Bob,
What ever CNC you choose, I would say one thing and that is do not use a router. With your budget that won't be a problem. I have an NSK Spindle and it is very accurate and very quiet for inlays and pockets. I don't use my CNC for anything else and it is enclosed in a sealed dust box. I would not want to listen to a loud router in my shop for the long periods of time when I am using my CNC.

Rick
It is a paramount to think about an enclosure and dust evacuation. The small mills create very fine dust that is not good for your health or the shop and computer equipment.

Instead of a complete enclosure, I addressed the problem this way.
The small line blows compressed air that is regulated by a small valve to provide just enough pressure
to blow the dust into the larger line that is connected to a shop vac with a HEPA filter.
