Red, befor you jump off the deep end! Do you have any CNC experience? The learning curve is quite steep here. Have you already made cues or are you just wanting to get the equipment and get going? I do know what machine you are asking about however I have never used it. I ended up building my own.

Quiet Router

Hi,

Cue Monster with the quiet router is a blessing in my shop. The quiet router does a great job and is very quiet.

Ive been building cue for a few years now and doing repairs for around 5Ive got some conversational code experiance but not much on G code have a lot of friends that do at work (Boeing Aviation) in the machine shop .Just looking at options on cnc and manual stuff .Might buy one machine that would do most of the work .The K2 would do points ,taper ,inlay pockets and the inlay ,also ring billets.Ive got a Southbend lathe to do the big stuff and some other equipment. Any advice would be helpful .

Ok Red, sound like you know what you are getting into. I believe that the K2 would do the job for you though you may have to modify it. I would make sure that you have 4th axis added to it. Also download Mach3 and start playing with it. This is the software that will run the machine. You will also want a CADCAM package. Most of us on here use Bobcad. We can give you an idea as to best way to purchas this if you choose. Do you have any specific information you are looking for? Asking for any advice may be a bit dangerous as there are several opinions on this subject.

The guy who you really want to be talking to about a machine has already answered a couple of your questions:grin:

Cnc

Make sure you get one from someone that backs up his sale.
Like Jim aka MC2 . He will make sure you get what you pay for. Not like some of the so called cnc experts out here.
