Cocobolo Joint

Can anyone tell me what a cocobolo joint hits like in comparison with other joints(ivory, phenolic, etc....)?

I have a Lucasi with a Cocobolo joint and it hits medium.Not soft or hard but in the middle.

My new Samsara J/B cue has a Cocobolo joint. Love it. Feels like it has some flex to it. I think it works for a break cue.

Coco is a nice, thick, heavy wood. It all depends on what you like. Sometimes cue makers will put it there for the looks, and not so much the hit.

If it is solid cocobolo, it will have a nice solid medium hit. Good feel. I think that you will find the wood to wood feels more like a one piece cue.

If it is a jacketed cocobolo, it will have a feel much more similar to a steel joint. Not quit as stiff but much more solid than just wood to wood.

Coco is a hard dense wood.
