As a professional movie analyst, I was asked to watch Colin's video. In summary, he has tried his best and apparently it is far from enough for this game. Giving him all the benefit of the doubt, it is clear that it will not happen for him in this or the next couple of life times. On a brighter note, he can stop wasting his time and focus on other important things like taping league games in China on a cell phone camera, trying to invent an aiming system that will gurantee his dimissal from the IPT tour, reading simple physics papers that are undoubtedly far over his head etc.

As a "professional movie analyst," what qualifies you to critique the physics experiments Colin captured on video? Wouldn't Ebert be just as qualified (i.e. not qualified).

Now, if you were a Physics professor, or something along those lines, you might be able qualified to make such criticisms. I don't think anyone was thinking of nominating Colin for an Oscar for Best Cinematography, nor do I think that was his goal. The video was merely a way to disseminate the data efficiently.

When are we going to see some of your brilliant videos and posts hmm? While i dont agree with everything Colin thinks, he has put out a lot of good stuff thats great for this forum. Plus, your little summery gives no PROOF to back up the BS thats spewing out of your mouth. If you have nothing good to say, dont say anything at all.

Of course thats just my opinion. Maybe you have a Ph.D in physics and make Hollywood films in your spare time.

I'm sure you are just joking. I for one enjoy many of Colins posts. Even though I do not think the twist not transfer was not fully understood, hehe..(High left was used in the video to get pure right on the OB, if the shooter used pure left the OB would have had high right on it) \\

I think his video was a GREAT exhibition.

Even more so, the time he takes to explore has benefited many whether some disagree with a view or two. (most are right on)

What is a "professional movie analyst" and what does that have to do with shooting pool? Who asked you to look at the video and in what context were you asked to review it?

Sounds like jealous and uncalled for bashing to me!

not because i consider colins work a true added value to this forum
not because colin is always ready to discuss things a B player like me has no clue what he's talking about
not because i respect him as a player AND a person

but i dont get the point of your post.
is it about the video editing quality? is it about the (un?))usefulleness of his post? but i dont see any good reason why to bash him...

i guess its some kind of humor i dont really get, and ur just hoping to get as many reactions as u can get on this post, regardless of if its in your favor or not. for me this post is just like those gossip magazines that can spend 10 pages on writings things that dont mean sh** and are just there to provoke people. well even if u won because i posted. i should have just shut my **** up, but it wast to hard. Laclulator 6pack, even if i know u dont give *** about this post, just wanted u to know ...: 1 word; respect for your work and research and for sharing it to us.

They actually have a name for them on the most internet forums.. There called "Trolls" which I'm not sure if that comes from "Trolling" from fishing kinda deal.. Throwing bait out there to see if anyone bites. Or if it's the little ugly guy that lives under the bridge in fairy tales..

Maybe a bit of both?

The guy is a dick is the bottom line, and ultimately the more attention you pay to him, the more he has succeeded in his little personal mission to rile things up.

Firstly, thanks to those here who know me pretty well and defended me:)

Just to clarify something, I've never claimed to be a champion player and I've got a big hill to climb to match up with the better players on the IPT. I'm going about things the best way I know how and if that leads me to errors then so be it.

I'm one of a million players who thinks he's onto a perfect system :eek: ...lol

I'm not sure whether to be amused or bemused by your rant:cool:

While I may not always agree with your findings, I recognize that you are one of the few people on here that really lay their reputation on the line, and give your utmost to inform us about your findings as best you can. Which coincidentally is a heck of a lot better than I could do it. You have my respect Colin.
