Colin's 24-shot video, an unbiased review

I think it sounds like somebody #$%T some 8 balls in your cornflakes, and you're just trying to relieve yourself on this board. The guy never claimed to be a professional camera man or film director. I for one admire his playing ability, and as far as being compared to other videos I've seen on the web, it's not bad for a novice. If you're here to crap on somebodys game, then you need to put your money where your mouth be and match up. If you're here to crap on somebodys movie making abilities, you're in the wrong forum.

Do you mean to tell me that you don't know the difference between a movie critic and a "professional movie analyst?"

I'll give you a hint: Movie critics tend to have competent writing abilities.:eek:

Do you wanna bet if he'll respond, or do you think he's a hit-and-run type poster?

I'd like to know his reason for sharing his viewpoint with us. But maybe he doesn't want to know that himself?

You know as a "professional movie analyst" you probably know as much about pool as pigs know car engines ( I read that on here the other day and loved the comparison and this is the perfect time to use it ) You know - here is what matters - Collin is in the ITP - your not - he has the chance to learn so much from just being around the people he will be playing with and even if he comes in last place he will make more than most people I know for doing something he loves. Not may can say that. Id love to be in his position. ROCK THE HOUSE COLIN.
Our PRO critic soulds like someone who is crying a little. BOO HOO - YOU SUCK! The only balls he could make are the 2 he has in hand.

Checked out some of his other posts, and if he's a professional anything, besides a professional troll, his English could stand a brush up...

I assumed it was a poorly written joke about Colin's movie making skills, not his pool playing skills.
 
Adam, I must have previously missed reading this thread. I find your thread petty and valueless. While you may be a movie analyst, and I am sure that is an important job in your business, I am thinking that you don't have a whole lot of experience at playing pool. Am I wrong? I would like to understand why you have taken a swipe at Colin. Seriously, please explain your need to denigrate Colin's generous and valuable offerings.

Colin, shares his valuable time to this forum providing us with data that we can use to better our game, even if we were to disagree with his conclusions. This forum is about pool and a major part of it is dedicated to improving one's game. Colin and many others provide valuable insight into different aspects of pool that could improve one's level of play.

While I don't always espouse everything that is talked about on this forum, it is apparent at least to me that the discussion is probably at least as important as one person's conclusion.

I hope Colin and the others who invest their valuable time, sharing their ideas and perspectives will continue to know that many of us appreciate their input and time.

Thanks again for the support from my friends here.

Clearly this guy is a troll with a poorly developed sense of humor.

I seek neither fame or infamy here. But this is a pool forum, and being a pool addict, I post quite a bit, cause I do enjoy discussing these topics....naturally, sooner or later someone will take some potshots. No skin off my nose, but actually it was quite a good experience to hear support from those I've gotten to know on this forum.

I have had disagreements with fellow posters here from time to time (usually when a topic drifts into economics, my other pet passion), but I don't think there's a single one that I wouldn't be happy to meet and shoot some pool or the breeze with.

So before this thread dies its natural death, let me thank all of you on the board reading this who have shared ideas and interests over these last few years.

Colin, I have been AZB-less for the past few days due to a cable error (they are coming out tomorrow to fix) so I am on dial up. As a result, I have not seen the videos he is talking about, but I have seen you play and this guy has no place calling you out.

He only has a few posts and some of them were designed to be inflammatory. What this thread has done is show how much support you have as one of the most astute players, (with that calculator mind!), and scientific brains on the planet.

This thread has also shown the ugly side of jealousy on his part. No one on here is taking him seriously. In fact, I relish the day that you play and kick someone's butt on the IPT (hopefully not mine!) so that it will feed more anger and jealousy to this troll.

I respect your game, your intellect, your opinions, your desire to take apart every aspect of pool to examine and learn from, but most importantly - your integrity. Stay the course and know that you inspire the rest of us. We love you, man! :) :)

Waahhh! I accidentally gave him the default good rep, because I was so intent on writing my message in there, that I hit the submit button. And also, because I think I have only given one bad rep out before (except to Cutetechasaurus :p ) and so I was unaccustomed to changing the default.

So anyone else out there that has not given him a bad rep, or wasn't going to, please neutralize my good rep to him. Thanks in advance! :o

I was away and the gangrena of stupidity has hijacked this lovely and honest thread. To those, who despise the shameless march of mediocrity represented by the australian banger, I salute you. To those, who are devoid of talelent and feel threatened when a one of their own is rightfully exposed, I despise you.

WOW. ok, what can you bring to the table other then the ramblings of a player who will never be on the IPT.

Whether Colin is a good shot in your opinion or not doesnt matter a bit to us. Colin is a friend and peer of the members of this board. He has been around and will be around here longer then you will. Good pool playing doesnt help you obtain good friends, being a good person does. Colin is a good person and pours his brain out on this board whether you think it is helpful or not.

Not only is Colin a perfect gentlman, he's a true student of the game and puts time and effort into answering people questions.

Although Colin hasn't claimed any credentials I'm sure he's way more qualified to critique all aspects of his videos than the original poster who claims to be a " professional movie analyst" what ever that is. I could claim to be a professional movie analyst too, I've been studying them for years and have made millions of dollars doing it. (too bad I can't spend any of them.) :( darn that www.hsx.com for not using real money.
