Collectable Cues Vs. Guns,,,,??

In the midwest, guns are ALL comanding premiums. basic guns like Remington 870 express (12ga shotgun) are over $275 right now. Used to be able to buy new for under $200 just a couple years ago. It's a seller's market all day long here!

.22 ammo is INSANE right now. Use to be able to by a carton of 550 rounds for like $15-20, now you can get upwards of $50 for just a couple hundred rounds... JUNK!!!!
 
Depends on the gun...my Chinese pre-ban CLAYCO AK47 is through the roof; my Belgian made Browning HiPower is flat-lined. Nobody has disposable income at the moment, so unless the gun is something REALLY special and hard to find, they're hard to sell at a profit now. But that always changes. You need to do your research, though, casual gun buyers get burned really quick at gun shows if they haven't done their homework. Your best deals are usually found in gun stores buying something on consignment (people dumping Grandpa's closet out, don't know what they have, and the gun shop owner may not know, either). If you're buying something for an investment, look for stuff unfired in the box...and DON'T shoot it! My Dad has never been able to resist doing that, and it's cost him thousands over the years...:wink:

That's changing...industry has pretty much caught up with the demand, I'm finding ammo all over the place now.:)
 
I find the market very similar.

Higher end cues have held their value the most, as well as guns.

My favorite buys are;

Winchester 1890
Winchester 1906
Anschutz 54
Leopold scopes

Cues are listed below.

The key to cues and guns IMO, is still identifing and buying good deals that have strong resale potential.

It doesnt matter if it is a great gun made by (less brand insert here), the higher end brands will always command a premumim.

Two places one can use the phrase "I shot lights out" but the have two totally different meanings.

I'm betting gun sales are a lot stronger than pool cue sales.

The pool hall I play in has gun/hunting shows on Sundays during the day when my son goes there for his league.

I am betting that gun clubs don't often have pool games on. If you can even find on on TV hehe.
