I'm going down to college for the tourney tonight and I'll talk to Pedro. My daughter has a balet recital on Saturday and I work, so Friday I may not be able to start until around 5 and Saturday until around 3:30, but if he'll let me I'll definitely stream what I can of it. maybe I can talk to Mitch and see if he can hold my equipment and maybe setup for the start on saturday.

I'll keep you informed.

correction: the tourney was last night, but I'll still be going down there to talk to Pedro and to see what kind of internet connection we have there. If there's not an internet connection I can use my 3G phone as a wifi hotspot but if the signal isn't good it broadcasts a little jumpy. I'll keep you guys up to date as to how everything is going.

I don't want anyone sending donations until I can confirm. The other thing is, I want to confirm what kind of quality I'll be capable of broadcasting at. At home it was a little jumpy when using my phone as a wifi access point, so I want to make sure I"ll be able to get a good connection at college. When using my home wifi connection it was really good, but I have a 25mb up and down connection through fiber at home, so that isn't necessarily a good indication of what we can expect.

Here is something that I need help getting the word out on as the next live streaming from Lansing is this coming Saturday. I am sending a copy to Jim asking him to blast it to all the members. You can blast away also....

Ok went to college billiards

Ok I went to college billiards last night and talked to Pedro, I will be streaming.

I set up and tested yesterday and what we'll have to do is run a cable from his office through the drop ceiling and setup in the middle of the poohall, but it should work good.

I won't be able to set up for the whole time all three days, but I will start at about 4:45-5:00 on Friday and then what I might do is start first thing Saturday morning and leave it running while I go to my daughter's balet recittal and then come back to finish the day and then I'll finish off Sunday. If I can't find someone to monitor the equipment while I'd be gone on Saturday, I'll have to wait until the afternoon to start streaming but we'll see. I think Mitch will probably be there or someone else I can trust with the equipment.

So I'll see you guys tomorrow online. Once I get setup, I'll post a link to the stream both here and in the main forum.

I was watching Pedro play some guys last night and for a second I was worried that he was going to lose and then he pulled out a six point run and a five point run and I became less worried...lol. Man, Pedro can play 3C....

Just a Bump and a Reminder.

I packed a lot of equipment today so I won't forget, lol... I'm really looking forward to it actually.

I even packed one of my condensor mics, tube preamp, and compressor for the commentating mic. I'll have to get someone in the booth that knows 3 cushion to commentate or I can just shoot the $hit with people. I'm kidding, I do know a little bit about 3 cushion.

It's going to be a lot of fun.

YEs I did, and thank you for your generosity, It really helps when someone is willing to help cover the expenses. I would be willing to do it without any help, but any help is appreciated. I may start doing this more often. I think I'm going to talk to Elias at Hardtimes about streaming their Monthly 9ball tourney and If things go well here I'll talk with Pedro and see if he's interested in doing events more often and I can stream more 3 cushion as well.

If things get to a point where I can get some help or maybe start doing some advertising, I may do some traveling to cover more events.

We'll see how things go. I don't want to jump the gun.
