OK, so we're watching the 4.5" table. In the context of mass viewership...

What do you think is the best table, comparing vs the "fatboy" table and the "tight" table?
 
isn't this the same poll as what jcin posted before tar? Do you think seeing the performance will change people's minds? I hope so but honestly I think the guys who said "this table is too easy" etc will point to shane's multiple 3 and 4 and 5-packs and say "See, we were right, this is lame".

Meanwhile guys who felt it would be a lot of fun to see tons of runouts will say "See? we were right, this is a lot of fun!"

I hope they stick with this one. It just looks like fluid, effortless, perfect pool instead of scared, cinch-shape, no-rhythm triple-careful pool.

The Fatboy table was awesome.

The "tight" table that replaced it even I will admit was a little too gaffy on shots down the rail.

Mike was not the only one horse*&^%'ed in this match, a 4.5 inch cut Diamond is also feeling pretty tender atm as well after the reaming it just took.

SVB put a 7-pack on Alex on the Fatboy railed TAR table to come back and close out a night in the lead, that was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen and cannot be dupicated on a standard table because "what" SVB did it on made it that much more amazing.

Re: your question? It's not the same question @ what table is best for all. The "line" has moved ever so slightly tonight, ask JCIN.

I think of it as top ---> bottom. If it doesn't work from the top, it doesn't work. And conversely. Ohh, I just figured it all out!!!! lol
 
I know my buddy the tight table jehadist Celtic would disagree but tonight they played pool (SVB played world class). You could go to a pocket edge to work your ball around and it was pool. Previous table was "Poolker". Certain shots down rails or a little flat just left you without any wiggleroom.

From here it will only get tighter. The cloth will wear in and the slide will come off. I would only like the other rails back for a special event like a One Pocket match.

Efren/Busty doubles vs JA/SVB would be a coup de gras for TAR. The PPV would be through the roof! JMHO

It would be tough for TAR to fund a 4 player field but I think a scotch doubles 8ball, 10ball, one pocket would grab enough attention for huge viewership.

If TAR had to double the PPV fee to fund the 4 players, I would pay.

Even better though, would be if all players put up their own money, and then TAR could just pay their travel expenses.

I would buy that for sure, I could just imagine all of the trash talking between Efren and Busty on the shape they leave each other and the odd miss here and there.

Too bad Earl wore out his welcome on TAR and screwed messed up things between him and SVB though because I think SVB/Earl vs Efren/Busty would have been the ultimate if Earl kept his head straight.
