Gonz.......Christmas Arrived Early

This is the 2nd off the line of 9-10 Bushka Tribute Cues.
Rest assured I am saving photos of every one of these cues.
I am dying to see how they all turn out; the 1st one was Dean's design.
That cue is owned by Mike Dunn & it was such a dandy, he's ordered more.
Now Gonzo has his and it's just as fine a specimen as DunnM1's cue.

Each and every cue Jerry is producing involves painstaking workmanship.
And every cue so far has been a "Replica Extraordinaire". Amazing to behold.
IMO...Dean's idea for this project is so much better than the Schon projects.
Each of the buyers was given total discretion & flexibility on the cue design.
Another blessing is working with Jerry Rauenzahn who's such a great person.

I really do hope that Jerry saves photos of all these cues & creates a gallery.
It would be terrific to see photos arranged with all of the cues side by side.
The best part of this is being able to customize your cue exactly as you like.
And as each of the buyers has learned, Jerry makes it all the more enjoyable.
His suggestions are so helpful & his workmanship is about as good as it gets.

I realize my exuberance about these cues might appear overdone to some.
Those AZers whom have gotten to know me understand that's how I'm built.
My passion for pool cues and cue designs is genuine and it's just my niche.
Consequently, when you see splendid craftsmanship, it just becomes....Wow.
Bob Owen wowed me with my cue & Jerry has wowed me with these Bushkas.

Gonzo....Congratulations on receiving your cue. I already congratulated Mike.
With every confidence I write that I will undoubtedly be congratulating others.
Mine is still a ways off and so getting to see the finished cues is just uplifting.
Like DunnM1, I'm intend to do a repeat cue with Jerry & maybe we should talk.
This project has been so much fun; do any original buyers want do another cue?

I'm asking only since I haven't given Jerry my design yet & this won't be a Bushka.
I have the names of the original group buyers so send me a PM if you're interested.
Back to Gonzo's cue.....it's a hands down winner that any Azer would love to own.
I'm excited about my cue but admit I'm really am envious of both Gonzo & DunnM1.
Thanks Dean for all these great cue projects from the Schon Tributes to this Jerry R.

The wrap was finished in real Cortland, just like the historical Balabushka's.

@4 Hrs Until "Ex Calibur" Arrives

Okay Doc.......Today is Wednesday and the cue arrives tomorrow.
Later today or tonight you need to brush the felt on your table.
Then you need to polish the pool balls and choose which case you'll use.

After the cue arrives, the first 10 minutes will be spent just admiring it.
The wrap will feel superb....of course, it's the real deal......Cortland #9.
The cue's finish, its points and veneers will be scream "I am beautiful".

Then the moment arrives when the cue gets assembled. The pin fit will
be very tight into the wood face shaft's joint. The acoustical sound that
only an ivory ferrule makes will be a melodious sound you can't forget.

As you experiment with settling upon the best overall grip position for your
hand since this cue will have a unique balance and feel to it, it will dawn on
you that this cue is different, it feels different and so will play different.

And you will return to the Forum as an exuberant new Jerry R. cue owner.
You'll appreciate the subtlety and the "art" of making a great custom cue.
Most importantly, you'll own a cue for life others will be jealous and envy.

Come back and start a new thread in this section. Post more photos and
macro pics of Jerry's talents.....and don't forget to include a review on your
new Jerry Rauenzahn Bushka Tribute Pool Cue. Congrats again on this gem.

Well Doc....did your cue show up today?

You're probably shooting with that beautiful pool cue right now. The next challenge is trying to come up with words to describe how the cue plays and feels. It's different, I know.....that's why I only play ivory joints and in lighter weight cues (nothing above 18.5 ozs).

It's a marvelous sensation....entirely different than playing with a steel joint version......I know some pundits might be thinking the joint doesn't matter but those really in the know understand that it genuinely does. The best of the best ..... Well, those cues tended to have the ivory joints.

I look forward to reading your comments about your cue's playability which should be top notch.....and don't forget more photos too.
