I was wondering if someone could explain exactly what it means for a cue to have a compound taper, how to know if a cue has a compound taper, and how a compound taper affects how a cue rolls on a flat surface.

i am not a cue maker, but i think it is when the joint never touches the table
Not necessarily. SW does that because their joint diameter is small while the bottom of the forearm is really fat and it's a curved taperi am not a cue maker, but i think it is when the joint never touches the table
