Hey pool players, I want to thank all of you that came up to me and thanked me for writing my book. I'm so glad to hear that all of y'all enjoyed it ! The last of the hard cover copies are just about gone, paper backs are coming though ! Even if you don't like to read, too busy or whatever, I promise you'll love it ! Take a chance, thanks ! Bobby Cotton

I love that book cover. I am going to order one for a friend in need, if I can. The book has to be shipped to him by an outside vendor and not a private party. Is it available on Amazon?

Hi Jam, tell my lil buddy Keith hello, can't I just mail it to the person, say it's a gift from a caring stranger or something, I'll sign it ! Mail me a check for $25, it's cheaper that way and I'l ship it. here's my email ....bobby.cotton.@yahoo.com

Truth be told, Bobby, I wanted to purchase it for a friend of ours, a pool player who's currently incarcerated. The prison won't accept books from personal people. They must be sent to the prison by a business like Amazon.

That said, I will send you a check for $25 and buy one for Keith as an early Christmas present. He's hard to buy presents for. After a while, socks and underwear just aren't that exciting under the Christmas tree, and I'll bet he will definitely enjoy your book, as will I.

Bobby, hopefully one day I will meet you in person but I need to say it again. Your book was fantastic, I still can't believe some of the things you encountered on your travels.

Marty

Hey Jam, yeah you can get it thru Amazon also ! Is it Tony Chohan getting the book, just curious ? Keith will love it, there's a great pic of him in it and I say what a great player he is.... best money player bettin his own dough ever !!!

Well, now I know I gotta get this limited edition hard-back copy.

Yeah, it's Tony. I'm going to order him one through Amazon, then.

So that's two sales thanks to this thread, Bobby! I'm looking forward to receiving mine -- I mean Keith's. ;)

I just went on Amazon, and I was lucky to get the very last one for Tony.

Guess what? Freddy the Beard is the shipper. What a small world! :D

Thanks again, Bobby. I'm going to send a check to you, so that I can get ours autographed! Man, I do love the cover of your book!

I just told him about sending Tony the book, and then I relayed what you said about the picture. He immediately got a smile on his face from ear to ear, stating, "Oh, Bobby Cotton?" We're both excited to receive the book. The check's in the mail, as they say. There will be a little present in it for you, too, courtesy of Keith. ;)

Here's a message from Keith:

Bobby Cotton was the house pro over there at the Hollywood Athletic Club. That's when the TV show "90210" was real popular. A lot of the cast went there, like Jason Priestley. I hit it off real good with LL Cool J, who was also a regular there.

There was a charity event, and this movie director snuck me in. The only one that knew me in the whole place was Bobby Cotton. He didn't say anything. I was getting 50,000 if I won the tournament from the movie personnel. It was for charity, and the producer was headlining the event. Nobody else knew that but me and the guy that invited me.

Needless to say, it was two out of three games, single elimination. I made it down to the last six, and the guy sh*t the 9-ball in. He shot pretty good. He had a good eye. He could make a few balls. It seemed like to me he was a little bit of a ringer himself, but we just went on with it. I lost. I didn't get nothing.

To make a long story short, me and Bobby Cotton have been through some battles in the late '70s and early '80s. He could play really good on a bar table, which was my specialty at the time, as well as playing real good one-pocket. And I believe at that time, Bobby would out-move me playing one-pocket. Bobby was a real good all-around player and a funny guy, too. We'd always laugh and smile at each other when we'd see each other. We knew what time of day it was!

Good luck on your book, Bobby. I know it's going to be good. I'm sure people are buying it right now. If they haven't already bought it, they should, because I know coming from you, it's a good read.

Are you playing any poker? I know you're a good poker player, too. LOL Stay in touch, buddy. Don't be afraid to drop a line once in a while. Always like hearing from the old school. Peace.

Sounds like an interesting read! Any chance you'll be selling it on the Barnes & Noble e-book store? Paper is too much of a pain these days, but I'd still like to add it to my nook.

I asked my wife to buy it for me for my birthday a few months back. Bobby signed it which was great, and I thought it was a great read.

My wife was pregnant at the time and wanted me to read something at night so the baby could hear my voice before it was born. I chose to read "Confessions of a Pool Hustler". My wife has lived a somewhat sheltered life and was a bit shocked by some of the adventures.

Please

Please give me info on how to get your book. I have just about all books on Pool players and would love to get yours. If you can PM me.Thank You.

Finally remembered to order mine. Every darn time I'd see a thread about this book I would tell myself that I would order it when I got home from work. Somewhere between then and home my brain turns to goo and I forget.

Can't wait to get it. I didn't read a book in about 12 years (I read the heck out of newspapers and news and science magazines). When Jay came out with his book I snapped it up and now not only am I hooked on pool, but I am also hooked on books about road stories.

Considering I really only got into non-fiction books even when I was a big reader this genre is a perfect fit for me :)
