Confirm whether the Pedro/Mazin match was recorded

No he didn't.

And before you go off on a tirade, remember that when there are 4 matches going on at the same time, he would only be able to record one of them, so there's no way to know ahead of time which is the match that should be recorded.

The way you solve that problem is, "Make sure you record EVERYONE at least ONCE!
It's a round robin tournament. In the beginning of the finals, you record the lesser players games, they are predictable. All you have to do is look at what 2 or 3 players are leading the tournament, make sure you have the FINAL game for the Championship to record.

Damn it! I was just ready to go on a tirade. Perhaps I may anyhow. Some on the board think that streaming is a waste of time. They say it is preaching to the choir. Perhaps the choir needs preaching to. And just for the record I have diatribes not tirades.

Here is, and has been, one vote for streaming.

There's really no point in mentioning the idea of recording the matches or doing live streaming. The USBA board has made it pretty clear to the members (for years and years) that saving this information for posterity, is NOT, a priority.
It takes real effort, actual forward planning, and some money, to put on professional live streaming for an event.
Recording the matches and loading them later, to youtube (or similar) website is realatively simple. There's lots of video cameras lying around collecting dust, I'm sure. I've got two nice ones that you can borrow anytime. A few tripods and you're in business.
However, even this requires extra volunteers, to turn the cameras on and off, and empty the memory cards, etc. Time which tournament organizers don't usually have, during an event.
You can suggest and suggest and suggest, but unless YOU are personally willing to give up your time to do the job of recording the events YOURSELF, it is very likely never to happen.

For the life of me I cannot see how streaming, or collecting video from ANY world class player at any event be anything but a learning tool for all us aspiring 3c'rs!

You can talk til you are blue in the face explaining a position, BUT.....let me see the video and you don't have to say a word.

I will say this......if anyone plans to set up a stream, or needs help doing an event, and I can drive there on a weekend deal....I will offer my time to help. I am located about 25 miles west of Philly.
