Congrats to my friend Bucky on a great achievement to conquer a field of over 1000 players. Also the guy you beat ( Tony Long ) who played great, took me out in the final 16 round so you got some for me. Very happy for you, see you at next Joss event.

Wow! 1000-player field... that's a lot of players. What was the payout and how deep?

$5K first prize, and final 64 make the money. FWIW, last year's open amateur winner, Matt Clatterbuck played 10-ball in the Pro event this year and sent Mika to the loser side 10-5. Winner of 2009 was Mike Dechaine. So, IMHO winning this title confirms you're playing at pro speed.

I watched Bucky a lot in Binghamton before we moved South. He's one of those people who just gets better every year.

Congrats Buck! I remember the days you came and hung around Providence way back when, think you were about 18 with a lot of heart:) and its still tickin!
 
Way to go Bucky!!! Im glad i got to see you play at 3 of your matches!!! Cant wait to come play ya when i come home for a visit in April :cool:
