Nobody really knew what to expect on the 10ft. It was hard to predict who was going to win on the 10ft, since nobody has ever seen either one play on a 10ft table...

I think shane will practice on a 10 ft table and want a rematch, although he said he cant beat earl on one, I think it will be hard for him to not want a rematch.

I'm so happy for Earl. No one loves the game more than the Pearl and I could tell he was on top of the world. He believes without question that he is the greatest and now he is going to believe that the world sees him as the most talented player.
 
Without a doubt, even with all of his warts and failures in tableside manners, the man has a gear that most of us can only dream of.

I have been a big Earl fan for years since he was the best player living in NC and have been lucky enough to see him win three of his US Open titles in person. I also think SVB is the best in the USA now and for a long time to come and I had hopes to see the Earl of old show up and he did bring it. Now I don't think we will see Earl beat Shane on a 9ft Diamond any time soon but I hope the Pearl can put a whooping on Archer in all three games. Go Earl!!!!!--Leonard
 
Very impressive. How the hell can he spear those 8 foot + shots in the middle of the pocket?!? Man he has good eyes. He said it was all about conditioning, but I disagree. He was hitting the ball pure and his shotmaking was unbelievable. That was the difference.

He is a fricking monster. Some of those shots he was nailing just proved that he may be the best shot maker on the planet when he's right.
I don't always love his antics but his ability at the table can never be questioned.
 
C'grats to the Pearl. This emphasizes what Koop already said about Earl being the best shotmaker on the planet... ever. :cool:

I dont think Shane will ever play Earl again.Shane lost alot of respect for Earl this weekend.

Earl is my favorite player too. Is that you in the thread doing some trick shots? If so, man, are you good!
