Congrats on Jasmin for playing as well and making it as far as she did. She had a tough draw in Round 2.

She was very close to advancing. Her percentage was 52.78% and Tony Robles' was 52.99%.

I'm as sad as a kitten caught in a blender. But on the other hand, for being just 20 years old, she did very well, and the future has promise.

It is really to bad!! I f she only would have had the change to play Storm in the first round het g/w percentage could have com out most stronger! If you look at het g/w percentage in the second round she even had a better outcome then Pagulayan!! Me not happy!!

She also had one less win than Robles, who went 4-1 to win the group.

Pagulayan and Majid each had 3 wins. With winning percentages of 58.25% and 56.86%, they each were pretty far ahead of Ouschan.

3 of Robles matches were won when both were on the hill. What a tight group!

She WAS Robbed!

I actually don't quite get how Alex had a higher percentage, she had more game wins in this round than he did? I thought that was how the percentage was determined and if it is carried over from the previous round them all players should be awarded 8 for an opponant that has forfieted!

That's what i said!! They got appointed no points at all for the forfaited matches! And Pagulayan had a better first round.

It said in the press release that even if Jasmine was given an 8-0 score for the Storm forfeit, she still wouldn't have had a high enough percentage to go thru.

I think they are back peddling! I don't think that is true, maybe not Alex but Majid only had two wins and a 6 and 1 in the first round. Jasmine would have had 3 wins if she was credited the forfiet and a 6! Why on earth should players be penalized for someone elses mistake? I can not beleive she would not have beaten him coming into this round with what would appear a much higher average!

FOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep That's some tough luck for her..
Stormy business...

I'd go for results between players in poule first before the games won %.
That's how it's done in most competitions.
Then she would have gone through over Alex P...

The make an end to all speculations this is the way it would have been!!
So i made the calculation and this is what would have happende if they would have awarded an 8-0 to everyone in the group of Storm.

Strickland would had have 65.3 % 4 wins instead of 3 wins and 58,54
Jasmin would had have 63.8 % 3 wins instead of 2 wins and 56,41
Acosta would had have 51,06 % 2 wins instead of 1win in and 41,04
Fusco would had have 52,94 % 1 win instead of o wins and 44,19

And this is what would have been the difference for Jssmin

Jasmin played in the first round 47 games and won 30 that's 56,41 %
Second round she played 69 games and won 35 that's 50,72

together that makes 56.034 instead of 52,78 % she has now!!

Wel Pagaluyan had 58,25
Majid 56,85

SO the dissappointment only would have been bigger getting even closer!!! The only way she had could have gone through was if she had beated Robles.... wel that is not the case!!! NEXT TIME BETTER!!!

It is heartbreaking no matter how you add it up but she played great in two tough groups and I really hope she gets a chance to play in the next event!

Forgive me for sounding cold, but these statements always make me laugh. Yeah she plays good and yeah she beat a couple of people, big deal. She advanced past two people in her group in the first round and one of them was DQ'd. People can say great job to the women for winning a couple of games from the men, but I see it as a crock. None of them are going to retain their cards and can't compete with the men. Its the same as telling Michelle Wie good job for continually missing the cut at mens events.

Well, you can't compare Jasmin with the other women, because Jasmin do not have a card to retain... She actually won a qualifier to get into that tournament, and I will guess she will be in Las Vegas in December fighting for the card for 07.

Jasmin can't compete with men? She got 5th in the World 14-1 Championship for MEN. Where did you finish? ;)

One consolation is that with the new payouts and her high finish in the second round she will make more than $7,000.00 - closer to $8,500.00+. I hope that this covers her entourage's expenses.

I got 3rd. I never professed to being a pro. She can compete on the lower tier , but she will never win a mens event and she will not advance very far in any of these IPT events. Maybe I could go and try to qualify for the WPBA or the LPGA, oh wait, I can't its not allowed.

Yeah right, you probably got 3rd... Sitting on the 3rd row watching then? ;)

If she had got the last rack in the double-hill match against Robles, she would have won a group containing of players such as Pagulayan, Imran Majid and Vincent Faquet...

The main thing is that she has achieved a lot more than many men players. She has actually won a qualifier to the IPT, and I believe it is a lot harder to win a qualifier than actually play the first round in the IPT.

She will never win a men's event? During the last two months she has finished 5th in two big events for men...

Maybe Jasmin could go and play the US Open in the end of the month? Oh wait, she can't, it's not allowed...

LOL, that's because the women have their own US OPEN in which MEN can't play, exactly as it should be.

Well, maybe you can try to win a qualifier to the IPT instead... That should be easy for you, a woman made it.......
