I received yesterday an email from Laura Smith announcing the recipients of this year's Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) Scholarship awards. Four impressive and very elloquent young people, Corbin Coe of Boone, NC, Jared Atchison of Westbury, NY, Dillon Benson of Wendell, ID, and Nicole Jaynes of Albuquerque, NM were this year's winners.
As part of the process each nominee wrote an essay. If you have a few minutes I encourage you to read what these young folks wrote. At a time where it seems negativity abounds too much, reading their essays were uplifting. I pray for each of them great continued success educationally and in their chosen endeavors in life, both off and on the pool table.
A heartfelt congratulations to them all!
