BRAVO and good luck!!!

(And remember, LOL, don't screw up - Danny Barouty is watching from California.)

Wow, I just saw this! Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to it! I have very big shoes to fill. Both Danny and Travis have been incredible ambassadors for pool, especially 14.1. To have the opportunity to head the longest-running 14.1 league in NYC (possibly anywhere) is quite an honor. I certainly have my work cut-out for me.

Good luck, Jude!

I'll stop by to say "hello" some Monday. I was chatting with Danny when he ran his 197 last March.

Well, if the same thing happens when you stop by to say hello to me, I might force you to join the league so I can see you every Monday!

Congrats Jude!! you have a big er floppy hat to fill.

Danny is awesome. I hope to meet you on my next trip into Manhattan.

Congrats Jude. I always love to see that 14.1 is alive & well and that there are people like you that keep it that way. I had the pleasure of having Sean (sfleinen) visit me here last night having some great food, great conversation & playing a few great matches of 14.1. He spoke very highly of you. So, once again.... Congrats on your new position.

A question for you, Jude. I've never had the chance to see or play in any 14.1 leagues. How do you handicap players in the league? What are the races usually set to?

During regular season play, players of similar ability play even-up. Races are set according which group you're in and range from 65 points to 150 points. During the play-offs when groups merge, players will race to the higher total and the lower ranked player's point-goal is determined by the difference in rating. For example, a person rated a "150" will need to make twice as many balls as someone rated a "75".

I hope this answers everything. If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me or email me at amsterdam141league@gmail.com.

Thank you (and Sean) for the kind words. I've been a fan of 14.1 since I was first introduced to the game and honored to be running the league at Amsterdam.
