Congratulations to SVB and Cuetech!!!!

To be honest I expected his game to slip a little with a cuetec. Shane proved me wrong and it's a pretty good advertisement for cuetec. I wonder how long before they put out a SVB line.

In all honesty did you really think SVB was going to play worse with a cue-tech? Earl and Allison have seemed to do pretty well with them.

Congrats to Shane for your win! He really does like his cue and was even trying to get me to switch over to a Cue-Tec because he feels like they are that much better than what he had used in the past. I'm not suprised at all that his game will probably go up with this switch considering how much he personally seems to believe in his new cue.

The people at Cue-Tec are great and invest a lot of money back into the sport (thru sponsoring players, events, WPBA, etc.). I would encourage everyone to support them as much as possible.

"While the cat's away, the mice will play" is a very old proverb...

THE cat at Kolby's was in Des Moines for a few days...giving others a shot at the winner's chair.

Wouldn't have made a difference. Scott has no chance at winning that Sunday Tourny at Kolbys.;)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! 150-104.

Talk amongst yourselves. :)

I'm feeling a little verklempt..................

..........It was cool to have the matches on the tv, hooked my laptop up and we were rolling for the whole 3 days. ............

There's a trend worth starting.... good for TAR, good for players, and good for the pool hall.... hope it was good for YOU! ;) Tap tap tap...

I'm sensing that the Phoenix crowd was pulling for Shane in this one? Lil bad blood with Scott up there?

Yes, based on my experience I expected his game to slip at least for awhile. I've changed from one Schon shaft to another Schon shaft on my cue and noticed a major difference. Seems like wood to fiberglass would be a bigger change. I was obviously wrong.

Congrats to shane for the clinic & i still cant understand why scott didnt move the break around after 2 days of getting nowhere with the side rail break

Allison Fisher, earl Strickland and SVB. They have top shelf pros willing to use their equipment.

I think the SVB line will be out in time for Christmas!

My bad. I must have been gone by the time Jimmy Joe came in.

I am guessing Hec won the tourney. He is stealing!!! :)

I agree it is a tough tournament, I was one of the few in it that had to go to 5 while Hec who plays just as good has to go to 4, if he wins the first game then it is a 5-3 race! My first 3 matches were with guys going to 3, lose the first rack and its a 5-2 race, tough action but it was fun. Someone who is stealing is Harold, he was a 9, got lowered to an 8 and lowered again when everyone went down, he is now a 7!

I think it might be a good idea to put the TAR stream on the all the TVs again at Kolby's from now on, I believe it was the first time anyone did it in a poolroom in AZ and it was pretty cool and the customers enjoyed it. As for me I was in a pool room so I played pool and caught bits and pieces of it but Shane was pulling away so steadily I lost interest and tried to make up the money I lost betting the match on some pool games. :D
