That was quite a feat he just accomplished. It's been a long time since someone won both divisions at the US Bar Table Championships and I want to be the first to congratulate Warren Kiamco on his great feat. Keep up the good shooting!
 
Actually, Cliff Joyner won both divisions back in 2004... so it hasnt been that long since someone claimed both titles + the bonus.

Nevertheless, it's a great accomplishment. To win one division is great ; to win both it astounding in such a big and distinguished field.

Kudos to Kiamco.

Although there weren't alot of top names in the event this was still an amazing accomplishment. He didn't lose a single match in either tournament:eek:

Sweeping the field in both 8&9 ball without losing a set quite an impressive victory.

I thought Manalo and/or Orcullo won both divisions in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Or maybe they just won 1 division each. Anyway, we have 3 Filipinos dominating the last 3 years of this tournament. Who else is next? De Luna, Corteza or someone new?

Congratulations Warren! He was always the bridesmaid in the Asian 9-Ball
Tour. It's good that his hard work paid off this time...
 
Hey, the guy played good all week, making few if any errors. His break was working in both divisions, and he played smart pool. He went hill-hill in three 9-Ball matches, with Tinsley Johnson, James Walden and Dave Martin. Both James and Dave had good chances to win and messed up.

In the Eight Ball, he did not have one hill-hill match. Not a bad week for Warren, he won 18K total. And by the way, the field was full of top players. Whoever said it wasn't didn't read the boards. I would say there were 40-50 'A' level or better players here. It remains the strongest field of bar table players in any tournament, harder to win than the BCA Masters.

Warren simply played error free pool in winning the Eight Ball division. He was a little lucky in the 9-Ball, but got there. All in all, quite an accomplishment.

They do appear to be the best players. Gabica and Warren were the most impressive players I watched all week. I don't think ANY American bar table player has to like it playing Gabica Ten Ball or Eight Ball. He is like another version of Orcullo.

I remember Gabica losing in his very 1st match against double J in the last
US 9-Ball Open Jay, before he started a run of 10 (or 11 wins?) on the 1 loss
side, and all it takes to win the US Open is 7 straight wins.
 
A fine player that has been working on his craft for years. Congratulations on a well deserved win!!:)
