Content for the old 9-ball rules--Push out--ball in the Kitchen

Re: Fats vs Willie - Those were gaff rules, not used in real play etc…. I can’t think of content off hand, I doubt there is much if any push out. Some old matches spot balls made on the break after a scratch and/ or have cue ball in kitchen after a scratch on the break. Maybe search for the oldes Sands Reno tournaments you can find. Try matches pre 1990 if you can. Not push out though.

Sure seems like there should be quite a few copies of old BCA rule books available. Bob Jewett always seems to have a lot of old pool books.

I have an old bca pool book somewhere around here. 🤔.
Found it 1980 is the year.

So in 1980 ball in hand after a foul was BCA rule. This rule book addresses
OPTIONAL "SHOOT OUT" RULES"

It looks like the content for the old 9-ball is almost non-existent.

The 9-ball portion of the video posted by Greg Cantrell above starts at 2:02 the first game no push occurred or no scratch on
the break. Maybe later in the match we will see that. Steve Mizerak is involved maybe some of Mizeraks old content will contain
the old 9 ball rules.

As I understand the push out rules, you may push ANY TIME A FOUL HAS NOT BEEN COMMITED ON THE PREVIOUS SHOT. By either player.

VHS tapes are in my R hive.

The new te ch knowledge E is oh so good.

AND Oh boy, you well I see a lot. With Ronnie o'sullivan vs Jon Higgins from 2026. Only minutes in and oh its worth the price of entry . 7-9 going to 13 🤔 gotta go watch the show.

"That deaf dumb and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball. "
Higgins got a wave of noise at the perfect distraction timing and rode the wave. Oh good stuff. One closer now. 8 serving 9. Oh what a treat.

I might not be a doctor but experience cab Trump book learn N.
Seeing Ronnie miss is uh?? Well I just know how that feels. 🤷‍♂️ kinda like a kick to the gut. DON'T Let 'em know that it hurt. 😉 keep the game face on at all times. You Do have a game face. Right??? My knick was Smiley. 🤷‍♂️

The John Higgins head shape reminds me of the Dr that delivered me. Dr Polka was also my high-school football Dr that taped me up and sent me back into combat. He was a ww2 doctor. 🤷‍♂️
His skills were amazing when he removed my tape from mid thigh to mid calf with one smooth stroke of the razor blade. Must be a heritage thing cause John Higgins is putting it on display. "Anyone's match now."
A nail biter for sure.
Oh the cheap lessons. Seem free as the entertainment exceed the price of entry. 🤷‍♂️
Edit : ooops wrong thread. Apologies.
the race is 13, not 10. Higgins leads 10 to 9 going to 13. Over and out.
oops I feel like the cadet asking the sarge for coffe while riding in a B-52, over the talk to the world Channel. 🤷‍♂️

One recent event played by the old pushout rules was/is the Country Calvin Classic or something similar. It is or was played in Monroe Louisiana I believe and used the old pushout rules. There were some matches up on youtube I watched years ago. I don't remember details now. There were a few other matches played by the old rules too but I don't remember names. I remember the event honoring Country Calvin but not the exact name of it.
