Contest: Your Chance for FREE US Open Qualifier Entry - deadline Sept 21

Why I should be considered

Hi! Thanks for trying to help someone get entry into these qualifiers.

I have been trying to get to the US open for several years now. During the past three years, each year seemed to be the year I was really going . But due to either health or financial reasons I never made it. I was about to give up the game , But then someone came to my attention , and really lit a fire in me again this past year!

This young man that caught my attention is Shane Van Boening! I have had the privelige of meeting SVB several times before and after he won the US OPEN, He told me that he thought, That, I am a great shot maker and gave me some tips on my game. He said to keep trying and follow my dreams, He did!

So I have been practicing my game everyday Hoping that this is the year I get to make it to the US OPEN!


You see I am not getting any younger and my health is not the greatest and I don`t know how much longer I can play this game. But I do know What I want!

And thats to play in the US OPEN.

Now I don't know if I can win the thing but I sure as Heck am willing to try!

I could go on about events in my life and how they shaped the position I'm in now but I won't . Just too long and depressing.

Whether or not I get picked or can make it to the qualifiers is beyond my control. But I wish whom ever gets picked to go, the very best.

Field of 64 or more...

I am hosting the Tallahassee event for the players. I am trying to send 4 players, just like the post above. That really want to go play in the main event. Just being there with all that talent and people from here and having fun. You folks follow your dreams and give it a shot. You never can tell what will happen. Once I went to an APA singles event to play and see how I could do against all the other winners that qualified. We went to Jacksonville, Florida to play. My friends asked me why I was going, I told them I was going to have fun and play pool. I will tell you that I won every match, 6 in a row and went as a single to Las Vegas. That was one of the most exciting things I had done in the pool arena. That is the excitment I want to be able to give 4 players. Good luck to you.

Tony says he doesn't deserve it, he hasn't been playing much lately. Actually, I think he does because he's spending alot of time getting me ready for the OB stop...

He said, and I definitely agree... Robbie or Doug need to come throw their hats into your WONDERFUL contest!! I'll see if I can prod them into posting.

I think that's a good idea to get Robbie or Doug or Charlie to post a response. If Tony doesn't want to - I understand.

I think there are some great people on here who would love a free chance in a US Open Qualifier. Milo and I look forward to more responses!

Its simple really

If I get a free entry to the qual-fire, I will promise to chalk before each shot and not throw a temper tantrum after I bobble an easy shot. I will tip the wait staff generously and give BigD advice on how to win the chug-a-lug contest. I also promise to quit stalking you Melinda. :yeah:

That is...I promise to quit stalking you if you ask me, after I start stalking you. Oh hell. Can I stalk you a little ?

I told them all last night when they made it back to Luke's.

I personally think all the Sherman Guys deserve it... :)

I did too! I do know Doug's computer was down the other day... since I don't really count and I can't speak for my Sherman Guys... I'll let them get mad at me for this little picture and maybe one of them will post.
