Continued use of pocket reducers?

I like my table, but the one complaint I have is that the pockets are too large (5"), and whenever I go somewhere else to play, they are always smaller and throw me off.

I have pocket reducers which take my pocket size down to about 3.75", and have decided to use them all the time for now, as they really make me increase my focus, and will make all other table's pockets actually look larger for a change.

My question is this: If I leave the reducers in all the time, which put constant tension on the pocket, will it cause damage to the rubber/pocket/rails? My time to play is limited, and I will be more consistent with the reducers if I don't have to take them on and off all the time, but will do so if it has any real chance of hurting the table.

Thanks in advance!

What type of reducer are you using? The ones with the coil spring in the middle haven't caused any damage on the tables I've worked on. They actually reduce wear to the cloth in the pockets.

They are the ones with the coil in the middle. DO you thin prolonged use, such as leaving them on all the time would cause any damage?

If I let that affect my table given my level of play and frustration with it at times, the table would have already been in trouble
