I totally love this cue. Segmented Handle is Madrone Burl and the rest of the cue is Pheasant Wood. I really like how the white ring work is subtle and not over powering.

Another fine piece of work from John Chaplin.

Simple and elegant.

No bling, no frills...just beautiful wood and workmanship.

Welcome to the club.

BTW, JC and I share the same initials and birthday.

Thank you sir. As you know, I learned about John's cue work after seeing the cue he made for you. That's when I got on his list. Very glad I did.

I think you are the second person on here who ordered one of his cues after seeing mine.

I ordered mine after seeing a picture of the first one he made like mine. I liked the way the combinations of the two woods looked...cocobolo and sindora burl.

If I thin some of my herd out, I may have him make me another one.

I have already talked to him about wood combinations if I ever get another. The next one would be the blackest of ebony with maybe a spalted tamarind handle.

Thanks Hungarian,

I was never able to photograph that cue to display the real beauty of the wood. Glad it's with someone who can appreciate it.

Back at you John. I dropped a comment on your youtube!

I really like your approach to cue building and the fact that you share your techniques with others.

I absolutely love the cue both how well it plays and looks.

Beautiful cue.
Thomas Wayne said it best. The easiest way to photograph a cue, is just go outside in natural light.

Really elegant cue. John is A OK in my book.

Congrats on the score. You don't see much pheasant wood anymore. A shame IMO. It really is attractive. Kudos to John, for yet another fantastic cue. 😊
