Copy This Stroke

Perfect mechanics. Dead-on alignment and no elbow movement, just a simple and straight bicep contraction.

This kid may be a world-beater some day, or he may just be a really excellent player, but if he doesn't beat everyone, it won't be because of his technique.

i hope he stays on track, some guys play their whole lifes and never stroke the ball like that, Tiger woods Jr is this kids nickname to me.
 
i wonder how he would have matched up with Efren, when Efren was his age-that would be a cool match, we will never know...

The kid for sure has a nice stroke and can make balls. I'd like to see how he plays. I'd like to see his CB control, position play and all the other things it takes to be on the road to Pro fame. He is very impressive and very likable, future poster kid for pool.

Does anyone have any clips of him in a match or tournament.

Wow, where have you been hiding? Landon has been playing in several big pro events every year, for a few years now, and has beaten many top players. He played quite well at the DCC last January (finally being put out by Buddy Hall). Remember too, that clip is old. Landon is three years older now, and a LOT more seasoned.

I'm not even going to dignify that with a response!:eek: :rolleyes: Although several of us have helped Landon along the way, the real credit goes to two people...his father Stan, and Landon himself!

Well Scott to tell the truth, I'm high in the mountains in a very remote part of Northern Calif. About all the tournemants i can ever make it to, are the ones in reno and a few now and then at hard times in Sacramento. I've seen Austin play many times, but have missed this young lad.

So if by chance you can direct me to some clips of him playing I'd be forever grateful. Thanks Scott

Oh Scott, i Knew you were just funnin around, but as you can see i havent been anywhere so to speak:( . Hey thanks for the website this young lad is very impressive, wow, a 1000 tournaments wins. This forum is the only way i really stay in tune to whats happening, but there hasnt been alot of chat about Landon. Thanks again for the info and maybe someday i'll come off this mountain and meet some real people like yourself.
 
His stroke looks more like a snooker player then a pool player.

I always thought that elbow movement is normal in pool as there is a bigger swing and a longer follow thru with the elbow dropping down following the cue thru.

Is there or should there be a distinction between cue action in the 2 sports? Is there any variation in style base on how you play. I know most Filipino players certainly does not cue like that. Can anyone enlighten me on some theory behind?

It sure would be cook to get him to the Junior Nationals 3 Cushion tournament. The winner goes to the World 3 Cushion Championships.

Someone ought to ask if he'd like a paid trip to Europe and meet the big boys in 3 Cushion. If he's interested call Dennis Dieckman.
