Hey JAM, I have a video of Gabe playing Keith at Rumor's Club in Wichita about 8 years ago when Gabe was a teenager!! Gabe had the club tape that match! Of course Gabe was the winner challenged at the end, but he was excited to play Keith. Keith taught him a few more lessons in the school of hard knocks at that tournament!

Does Terry still have those tournaments? I know Weigand quit his big Thanksgiving tournaments. Bummer that he doesn't have them anymore, because Gabe always came home for Thanksgiving to play that one.

No, Terry does not have his tournaments anymore, and it has been a big
disappointment to many players around here. He only has a small tournament(s)
for people that shoot in league play at his place. Paul now has a handicapped
9 ball tournament in place of the State 8 ball tournament, handicapped from
2 to 12 with a $2,000 payout for 1st plus calcutta money. Still pulls in some good players like Tony Fargo and such.

If I remember correctly, Gabe was coming ihere in the summer, maybe August or September?, for something at that large pool hall on West Kellogg, I forgot the name of it. What tournament is that? Do they still have that one?
It seems Gabe just comes back to visit now, which is kind of nice, get with his dad on cues & things, rather than play tournaments.
He's coming here in a couple weeks, his brother & his family are flying in for a few days. HIs brother is coming back to be best man at his friend's wedding. So Gabe is coming in to see him. Then I won't see him for a few more months due to his schedule.
