Corey Deuel vs Jesse Bowman

Does anyone know if Jesse has responded to Corey and his backer's challenge to play him on a barbox? I'm sure that someone has at least mentioned it to Jesse that Corey wants to play.

These guys are like two mangy vultures circling each other, high in the sky, over the dead carcass of a discarded barbox. Don't think they will ever try to take a bite.

The first week in March at the Reno bar box championships, a guy named Justin Whitehead from Oklahoma, a road player, matched up with Jesse and beat Jesse out of $4000.00 plus Jesse's cue and case...Thought Jesse was the best bar box player in America. Really????

Getting Cash, Cue and Case is the "hat trick" for gambling :)

I still have all my cues... I know when to quit lol

Was a spot involved or did they play even?:)

ouch!!!!!! losing your cues is that last twist of the knife.

And really, what does the other guy need the cues for anyways... bragging rights.

do u people have any idea what the hell your talking about ever. you here a little bit of something that happened and grows into somw elaborate story. if you all werent a bunch of hacks and actually could play a little. you may have been there or anywhere else that action takes place. so keep living in your litle fantasy world until u learn how to make a ball or 2.

Sounds like you are trying to insult me. I will have you know, Mr. Poopypants, I take my hackmanship quite seriously and am proud of my meager abilities. I could whip your ass in Yahtzee, Risk, Monopoly, AND thumbwraslin'. I would even give you weight.

AND for the record, my high run is 3, which last I checked is more than a ball or two. <insert distasteful, fartish raspberry sound from my mouth here>

lol...

so j-kronic... any chance that BESIDES bashing everybodys playing ability you would care to tell us that jesse losing his cues is actually false? because if you said that, it wasnt in your post.

That is so true. You can not make the claim that you are the best in the country or the world and seriously believe it. You can only claim that of the players known, you are the best. Whoever you are there will always be someone better. I wouldn't be shocked if there was some dude somewhere in the world that could spot Reyes 9-7 in One Pocket. We have just never heard of him/her.

Do you have anything constructive to add to the conversation? Or are you content to flame people you don't even know?

In one of his earlier posts, he stated that he is Jessie's brother. I guess I can't blame him for trying to defend his bro. I'd do the same whether the topic was true or not. The flaming part was a bit much though.

Ya but there are better ways to go about it. All you have to do is state the rumour is false.

I agree totally, you never know who's out there. I too would not be shocked if there's someone unknown who could spot Reyes....I'd be surprised but not totally shocked. There's an unknown player out in Long Island who has run something like 240 balls on a table with 4 inch pockets. Mika Immonen went out there to play him some one pocket and Mika didn't win a single game! I'm sure there are others like him out there.

It is not false. Justin is right here in Modesto, I saw him tonight. I got it from the horses mouth. Serval of my buddies saw the action and confirm it. I was there but did not actually witness it. But Justin and serval players that did confirmed it...I have no reason to not believe them....If it did not happen then I have been duped and lied to...

All he best have been beaten on a bar box at one time or another. Just as Reno proved, bar table 9-ballis nothing more than a break contest.

Jesse could possibly be the best barbox player in the world, but if he played someone who never let him get to the table, there is nothing he can do but sit and watch. This happens alot on a barbox, it doesn't matter how good you play, you can't do anything from your chair but observe. That's probably what happened to Jesse, and I'm sure he's done that many times to other players. I would still bet the dough on Corey, that guy is a genious at any game.
