Im not sure if this has been posted already or not if it has im sorry .
I found this very interesting that such a good player plays with cue's
that anyone could afford . His break/jump the Sniperll is a great break jump by Tony Crosby . I have had a few of these and they do work great !
His playing cue ? Well I have a few of those also and they are worth every penny . Hats off to Corey for showing us all you dont need costly equipment to get the job done !

I've watched all of those. Pretty cool. Tom Rossman's in his case is crazy, and he ran through the pile in just a couple of minutes.

What ever Earl was playing with back in the day it sure did work for him .
I was watching some older matches of Earl on youtube last night and was just amazed at his cueball control . He seemed just fearless firing in shot after shot . I wish he could he could regain some of that old Earl magic and wow us all again !

Corey--"And I use an elkmaster tip for my main cue"................ha! exactly why I don't have any problem NOT buying a moori tip.

Well, I'm not sure but is there any of the pro players which uses any type of high $ cues ? As far as I have registered, many play with normal production cues or am I possible wrong on this ??

K

I've seen that video before and it is interesting but what I'd really like to know are the details of the cue. Weight, balance point, ferrule material, butt diameter, shaft diameter and taper, all that stuff.

Rodney Morris at one time played with a Barry Szamboti and Shannon Daulton, I believe, had an expensive 1/1 Schon or maybe Josey. I'm sure there are plenty of others but unless you see them play in person it is often difficult to discern on video what each cue is.

Scroll down the page, it lists the cues of a bunch of pros as of about a year ago.

Thanks a bunch guys. Cool to see.

Anyway, I think what ever any of the pros play with, is not directly transferable to what you and me would feel confident with. I'm quite sure that the pros could run out whit what ever cue they might pick up

Thanks for the link.

Cory is no longer sponsered by Cuestix international, thus the line was discontinued.

Very cool

I remember learning early on that you shouldn't worry about having a thousand dollar cue as much as having a cue that feels good in your hand and shoots well for you. It's not so true now, but when I first started playing it seemed like the more expensive a cue got the uglier it got.

One of the old pros I used to let beat me into a chalky pulp had tons and tons of cues that he collected. He even had a real original cue before they were round or had leather tips, but he always played with the same plain Jane McDermott which cost about $150 at the time.

I believe that Earl uses (and swears by) elkmaster tips as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, I heard it from the horses mouth. :D I always thought they were cheapo tips but if Earl and Corey use them my next tip is going to be an Elkmaster.

elk master

Earl uses pressed elk masters. Commonly called "milk duds".
