Corey Duel's famous shot on snooker table!!

Its a good thing you edited that video to the shots actually being made, or I'd have needed 9 hours of sleep and three bowls of cheerios to sustain living by the time you got done. Funny thing is, I don't really recall Ronnie Oh Sullivan shooting shots like that when he wins world snooker championships:thumbup:

That is because Ronnie couldn't fit his head into the pockets on the tables he was playing on ! :-) That is definitely not a regulation pocket size snooker table. The shots down the rails he is potting are 1 in 100 on a regulation table at that pace. Not to say the shots don't look really cool :-) ..

It's not a trick. Anyone that can draw their ball can do these. He puts wax on the balls. You can't do that unless the balls are really really slick.

Obviously when Deuel did the shot he didn't wax the balls but as per Bob's post it's pretty likely the cloth was still new-ish when he did.

Well, at least now I have two excuses (worn in cloth, unwaxed balls) for when I fail at it

Corey even said he did not intend on the bend
It just happened more due to the conditions
And a marvelous stroke of the cue

@RKG - Apologies for the direct attack on your person. It's so obvious that anyone doing a trickshot video isn't making every shot on the first try that it's absolutely not worth mentioning. I enjoyed the video apparently as much as you enjoy being a downer/troll.

Please just keep it light and enjoy cool sh*t when people go out of their way to share with the online community. If it's so beneath you in the first place, why are you on here at all?

I just see it as someone else wanting to show off they have a stroke, big deal. There's a 1000 people that can stroke a ball for everyone that shows they can stroke a ball on video....guess I'm just not that impressed anymore. If you really want to see some draw on a cue ball, put some Johnsons paste wax on an oversized coin op cue ball, line up an object ball a foot from a corner pocket, put the cue ball about 4 feet away from the object ball, then fire the object ball in the corner pocket....and watch the cue ball keep heading into the corner pocket....right up to the edge of the pocket shelf....then stop for a second....then draw back and pocket....a ball in the opposite corner pocket. Many of us old timers can make that shot all day long....don't see us posting videos do ya? I'm not impressed with jump cues or trick shots either anymore....or masse shot....none of it has anything with winning pool matches as far as I'm concerned....so what good is it?

so what good is it?

In this particular case for you: $100. There is showing off "a" stroke, and then there is
showing off "this" stroke. You cannot make this shot. A 1000 people in the world cannot
make this shot. I'm not betting against Larry Nevel making it, but I will bet against you.

Off course the real answer to what good is it is: It's entertaining. My buddy Jesse can
do some incredible stroke shots and likes to put them to video to entertain people. He
also wins pool matches, some small tournaments like European Championships and
stuff. Nothing major.

And Cory Duel won the United States snooker championship, so what did that do for him in the real world of world championships snooker? Show the videos of your buddy stroking his way to running a 147....oh, what....don't have any of them videos....ok, how about any videos of your buddy running some racks of 10 ball on a 9ft pool table....what, don't have any videos of that either? Guess I'm just not a fan of snooker....or Chinese 8 ball on a snooker table either for that matter....that just leaves good ol' American pool I guess.

If it's not about him -- it's not worthy of praise or even any attention at all.

RKC is the AZ Billiards eeyore.

Lol. I have noticed that.
Can't wait to hear the reply on the 147 video, it's kind of hard to talk
shit about something like that. But, RKC will try to find a way I'm sure.
Making that much more of an ass of himself.

I guess if the guy wanted to really impressed eveyone....he should have left the video running.....instead of just showing the final recording of each shot....that's what you snooker nut sack lickers fail to understand. Just recently a man jumped out of a perfectly good airplane with NO PARACHUTE and landed in a net to save his life.....HOW MANY TAKES DO YOU THINK HE TOOK TO PULL THAT STUNT OFF? The whole world was watching that take place, did any of you see that happen?.THAT was impressive, not video taped shots on a snooker table until the desired shot is made....then showing the only one that worked!!!!!!!!

I respect your knowledge about tables but you do really suck. We are on a pool forum, not skydiving/airplane jumping forum. Guess what impresses us? POOL stuff. Who cares if you're not impressed with this video? Fewer and fewer people are impressed with your existence....

While I agree that I sure these are 1-off shots that have taken multiple attempts before getting in on camera, some of them are pretty neat to see...

...but for the most part I agree with RKC, as a pool player (not trick shot enthusiat) these really aren't impressive. Especially when you know he didn't know these down in 1 attempt.

He just bumps them gums because he can. To be the world's most elite table mechanic, he sure seems like a unhappy person. No matter if you're friend had showed the entire video, it still wouldn't be worth a damn, because the table obviously doesn't play the way it's supposed to, b3cause he didn't set up . Notice how everytime you prove him wrong, he slings some totally different and unrelated shit against the wall

I never once said the guy couldn't play....but come on, for real....where's the bloopers recorded at, I'd like to see how many attempts it took to pull off each shot because THAT could have been impressive to see maybe only 1 or 2 attempts per shot.
