I recently saw some pictures from the One Pocket Hall of fame and noticed that Red's son was accepting the award for him. Can anyone give me an update on Red's situation? Thanks. Chuck

I'm sorry to say that Cornbread Red passed away last year. The award was accepted by his son-in-law "Stevelomako," who posts here on AzBilliards from time to time.

Check Amazon to buy the book About Red. This is truly one of the legends of the game.

I bought a copy of that book in Detroit at a tournament. I was killing time waiting for my match, looking in the display case and saw a copy of it. I thought I'd buy a copy before I left, turned and Red was standing right there so I asked for a copy and turned around and had him sign it. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. A very good book in my opinion. I now keep it in a plastic bag to keep it as new as possible. Sam
