corner balls

Recently while playing I commented on the high occurrence of making
corner balls on the "continous" breakshot. Is this really that common,or
is a indicator of poor racks, faulty rack placement, etc? Just curious
appreciate any opinions.

I seem to notice that opposite side corner ball going in quite a bit when I miss the breakshot .. :(

CueTable Help

I hate when that happens ... :)

i would have to say that it doesnt happen quite often enough to actually play them. Otherwise what would be the point of actually using the break ball that you worked so hard to keep or setup !

Does anyone know what "hit" (location of contact, angle of contact, speed, spin) with the cue ball into one side of the 14-ball triangle maximizes the chance of making the corner ball on the other side of the triangle -- even if it's a fairly low probability shot?

Yes i have as a matter of fact, but i wouldnt risk it in a 14.1 game unless i was playing a much weaker player or just for funzies !
