Congratulations to both John White and Jim Wych on the opening of their new Snooker & Pool Club, Corner Bank, Toronto :thumbup:

It has been discussed and announced on AZ many times of how many clubs are closing. SO LET'S CELEBRATE on the opening of a new and exiting venture!

Just had a look at the official website, which is cool... :thumbup:

Perhaps one day I can jump the pond and make it over for a few frames and racks!

THANKS TO THE WELL WISHERS, IT REALLY IS A GREAT LOCATION IN A VERY BUSY AREA OF THE CITY SO FINGERS CROSSED, ITS THE OLD "LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION" PHILOSOPHY.

To answer Johnnyt's question:

We will not really have a house pro as such but most of the big names in the city will hopefully frequent the place. The Diamond Pro Ams are big draw anywhere they are found.
But we will have a Pro Shop onsite and one of the very best in the country will be set up there on a daily basis. His name is "Harry Chaggaris" and apart from being a terrific individual he is one of the very few, if not the only person, that both Alex Pagulayan and Cliff Thorburn will let touch their cues. That in itself speaks volumes about the quality of his work. From small cue repair or tip replacement to any major cue requirement, HE IS THE GUY. They call him the machine and now I know why.

Jim Wych and John White are both Canadian snooker champions....
....they ain't missed a ball since kindergarten.

Jimmy has a little more trouble with 9-ball, though....
He lost a hill/hill match to a guy at the DCC.....




....it was Efren
