For anyone interested in high end cues at great prices, go to cornerstonecustomcues.com for one of the greatest selections you will ever see of pristine used or new cues by the finest cue makers in the world. Bill is a wealth of information, very willing to educate, his prices are more than fair, and he donates a percentage of the sale to the charity of your choice. His cues are special and so is he.

No problem, just directing the poster to the 'sticky' up at the top of the page that was created just for these + posts. Really, you ought to lighten up Bill, there's no feud. Business has been great, and that's great for everyone. God bless, family first, and don't forget to kiss the wife and kids. TonyS

With all due respect to all of you who have been buying, selling, and collecting for many years, although I am much older than most of you, I have been taken for a lot of money, ill-advised, misdirected, and basically hosed for my minimal knowledge of what to look for regarding playability, collecting, and, well, just for the love of the art. When I come across people like Bill Grassley of www.cornerstonecustomcues, Chris Tate of www.palmercollector.com, and Paul Dayton of www.daytoncues.com, I just want thank them and tell other interested parties of their willingness to share their knowledge on all levels to just another voice on the phone, all with no personal gain in mind. Hopefully, I will have many other names to add to my list.

Hey, Bob, thanks. It was fun talking with you too and it's great to run into people who share common collecting interests.

It's a very large learning curve for most of us and I to appreciate the knowkedge that has been shared with me by several Forum members.

Bob, sorry to hear about your bad experiences. There are lots of good people from all kinds of different backgrounds with cues on this board and elsewhere. I'm glad to hear that it seems you haven't lost your interest. I've known more than a few individuals who have gotten into custom cues, only to be 'hosed' with poor information as you call it. Usually this leads into a rapid exit and general turn-off with cues. There's a great world of information out there, and this forum is a good place for people to learn from others' experiences.

Bill's The Man!

I too have had very positive experiences with Bill at cornerstone. He's always willing to help find what you're looking for and his prices are very fair. The first transaction I had with him showed me the kind of person he is. We agreed on a price for a cue and he mailed it to me before he received payment, which is pretty unheard of these days. Especially not knowing me or having dealt with me before. He's also willing to take back the items you buy from him / trade-ins, etc.. I cannot say enough kind words and I wish him and his family all the best! Thanks Bill!!

Hey Vinnie-
How's the Fanelli?? J/K! I actually saw it on Bill's site a while back and I have to say, Man! That is one cue I truly regret letting go of. That thing was a true beauty!!!
Take it easy.

Mr. POZ I can see why you have been taken, you believe what people tell you. How can you be sure that Bill advised you in the right direction? I want to make myself clear I like Bill and think he's a nice guy and honest as far as I know, but much like Sean and MK's lackey Joe they are all salesman and the info they feed you has a purpose, that purpose is a sale. Now Chris Tate is a rare find, a guy who has done research and is willing to share his info with others for the sheer love of the hobby, as far as I know he's not looking to sell you anything. My point is part of the fun of collecting is to educate yourself about the hobby, relying on dealers and salesman who all have an agenda isn't the best way to go about it IMO. There are many places to research cues, (AZ being one) but again asking the people who are trying to sell you things isn't the answer. Some people push certain makers because they like them and believe they really are the best, other people push certain guys because of the discounts they get from that maker. In any event I feel bad for guys like you who don't want to do the leg work themselves and who believe what these salesman tell them, but in the end I believe you get what you deserve.

Damn Jimbo is the glass always "half empty" or what? Did you ever think that some businesses want to give good and honest advice to establish a positive reputation with their customers so they'll come back again? These are not car salesmen we're talking about here...just my 2 cents.

I didn't call any of them dishonest, I happen to like all of them on a personal level and I have met them all in person and know them, and I do mean all of them.
Sean, Joe,Bill, and Ken, they all have some great cues and they all stand behind there sales as far as I know with a few exceptions of course. But my point wasn't that these guys are bad or dishonest, my point was they are trying to sell you something and they have a vested interest in what you buy. Educate yourself, do not rely on a salesman to give you advice because he is biased and even if he believes what he's telling you there is a reason why he told it to you, and it might not always be right for you.

I must admit that your post made me laugh though, you said they aren't car salesman, don't you think a car salesman wants you to come back?? Aren't car salesman in business also?? What makes you think bad about a car salesman and what makes you think there is any difference between cues and cars?

I guess my point was missed so I'll say it again.

*Educate yourself before you buy anything, do not rely on others that may or may not be qualified to hand out advice as to what you need or want.*

Very good advice.
As many have learned on this forum, that a gem to one person may have a blemish to another.

Jimbo
I would welcome any help you have to offer in the form of advice or of any cues you might have for sale that I could buy for investment. Your comments are well taken. Thank you!!!

Jimbo , My advise to mrPozner was not to buy the cue from me because I believed there were better investment quality available! and so I gave him the cues wholesale . that is why he believes me on the guidence and i told him not to chose the cues he picked unless he really love it! I think that i gave him the most honest and to my ability (guidence) on his purchase and even tried to talk him out of it so I accepted his trades at full money into them. I hope that eases your mind a little and hope to see you at the show !!! abd Bob thank you for all the kind words and you to vinney!!
