Corsair Cues anyone?

Seems like this guy has made cues since the late 80's and that his father made cues before that for 20 something years. Blue book says he only makes a few a year 8-15 or something like that. I was just wondering if anyone had ever shot with one of them or owned one and their opinions?

I knew the late Hank Corsair. He was a true craftsman. His cues had a combination of good looks and great feel. I owned a couple of low-end Corsair cues that I really liked. Unfortunately, I had one bad experience with his son's work and because of that, I don't recommend them to anyone. Hank's son didn't seem as committed to quality as Hank did. Of course, this is JMHO.

Hank made a great playing cue. Many SoCal pros used them. I still have one that looks like a plain Tad. It plays great! He also made a few "black beauties" out of solid black phenolic. Sensational cues if you can ever find one.

Jay, I believe the Black Beauties you are referring to were his famous paper phenolic tube cues.
